Indiana Jones | First Previews are up

What? Games with objects you can pick up an inspect ? I can name over 1000 of the top of my head if you like.
None of its peers like Uncharted, Tomb Raider etc have it.

It just shows type of game its gonna be.

Am assuming more sandboxy than on rails. Which is what I play almost exclusively.

More adventure than action?

Yea that can be worrying. I remember the last Tomb Raider game did this and it ruined it. The game and story were still good visually but man I was going through so many puzzles\sections with absolutely no combat I was so confused.

I do like the settings, the graphics are good not great, very like Wolfenstein and Dishonored 2, nothing has put me off.

This is nothing like Tomb raider or Uncharted as much as people want it to be. Did you watch the previews? Its more akin to an immersive sim going off the commentary

Looks decent if there is no DEI crap involved. I love Uncharted, Indy, and Escape from Butcher Bay, so this should be right in my alley.

I read the GameRant piece. I've been looking forward to the game, hoping for the best, but that dropped my enthusiasm a notch. I'm hesitant about "a game centered on puzzles and exploration," with emphasis on stealth rather than combat and with the latter being largely hand-to-hand.

I guess I was expecting a more Uncharted type action-adventure game, not something that emphasizes puzzles, exploration, and stealth... Not to say it won't be good, just that it seems less like my cup of tea than before. But I'll keep an open mind. Previews can be misleading.

The impressions are very good overall. I just hope it's a game that honors a franchise that I love and am a fan of.
The latest movies and games didn't do it justice.

InDEIana Jones.

Kidding. Haven't watched any of these yet. Hope it doesn't turn out that way.

"It might be that we will release even more details in terms of specifics, technical details, as we get closer to launch, once we see all the telemetry on performance. But what I can tell you is that the ambition is that the game runs at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and that, you know, it shouldn't be compromised in the visuals or the experience of the product. It should feel cohesive, running smoothly at 60 on both."

I'm gonna be skeptical until proven otherwise. Can't trust preview cycles anymore cause most of the reviewers get bribed in some fashion

I mocked the first presentation ruthlessly, but a quick glance at those vids make me wish i was dead wrong.

If they manage to capture the "being indy" feel as it seems they have. It's gonna be a great game.

You think Uncharted or Tomb Raider are peers to this game?

Completely different genre although the themes can be compared..

Direct comparisons to Thief, Chronicles of Riddick, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory bode very well...can't wait to pick up a copy (even though I have GamePass--I want this one for posterity).

Looks decent enough graphically, the gameplay video looks better than I thought it would, but doesn't change my mind that this absolutely shouldn't have been an fps. People calling for an 88 MC score though? I think it will be lucky to land above 80 just based on what I'm seeing but what do I know.

Yeah, far from a Wolfenstein reskin, thankfully. That game has its own thing, this didn't need to be a copy of that with Indiana Jones.
