INDIANA JONES New Egypt Gameplay Demo

Is that low framerate at 1:00 happening for everyone else or is it on my end?

I really didn't expect this to be a first person title. Could have been a good contender against the Uncharted series.

I don't know, just feels off in some ways to me.
 
Looks pretty good for immersive exploration and puzzle solving, but not convinced about combat and stealth gameplay. That could get annoying.
 
I really like the setting's. Egypt seems fine, and i think the game looks good, and i know it's Indiana Jones but is there no gunplay at all, like a silenced pistol, that's what's missing for me.
 
Weird that it has performance problems considering it's running on the current idtech engine. Unless there have been some modifications by Machine Games that is greatly affecting performance.

it has guns. they showed gunplay in earlier trailers.
also, of course it looks like Wolfenstein. it's a game with Nazis made by Machine Games. anything else would be weird

Yeah i know Machine Games made it as i played the Wolfenstein's, the ones i've seen haven't showed any gunplay, so i was thinking is it a Tomb Raider in first person with just melee, which from a gameplay point of view might not hold people's attention all the way through.

I'm never up to date in terms of game announcements and what's nee on the horizon and I always thought it's going to be a 3rd person game. 1st person seems so weird and outdated to me for a game like this. The last Uncharted is like 8 years old, the last Tomb Raider 6, people would be ready for another game in that category. I'll pass until they'll release a 3rd person patch just like Rockstar did with GTAV.
 
Visual fidelity looks good. Hard to tell on youtube. But this game should never have been in 1st person. Uncharted is not coming back anytime soon. This could have scratched that itch. Honestly, tone down some of the athleticism behind Nate's melee moveset from UC4 to make it a bit more grounded and you're good to go.

Also wondering if all the fights are going to be 1 v 1.

I also don't get the rationale behind taking a character with an iconic look and hiding it for most of the game.

Not just you. Either the game or the upload. That second fight looked very off.

The fact this transitions so much into third person when he's doing stuff like climbing just says this game should be in third person the whole time.

I get the feeling the only reason it's mostly in first person is to avoid Uncharted comparisons.
 
Visually it looks decent but the arms moving around remind of a low budget FPS game. Indiana doesnt come along very often.

I'd say it's mostly 1st person because that's what the devs have experience in.
 
The environments look great, the elbows still seem like they are positioned a bit too far from the camera. It gives the fighting a bit of an uncanny look, maybe it looks more natural when you are playing it. I think the voice acting sounds authentic enough, you never know how that will go on these licensed games.

Like adamsapple adamsapple said, hopefully the 12/9 date holds.
 
It's just off. This is not what it should be. A shame, really. Hugely missed opportunity, judging by what I've seen of the gameplay.

Joel looks to be doing a pretty excellent Indy impression here, though. Gotta give credit for that, not easy to get that unique voice that we all know so well.
 
Im still not sold because first person Indy just doesn't vibe with me. I'll still try it though. Maybe playing it will win me over where videos can't.
