Damn, forgot all about Thumper. I had played the demo in a Best Buy months ago, and it was so good. One of the most visually spectacular game I've played in a long time. Every moment was a wild gorgeous spectacle of color and movement and sound.

It's easily my most anticipated game as it hits on all my cravings. It's definitely a spectacle, but I also enjoy how it's tense, anxious, and ominous it is. Playing it give you a really weird sense of dread. I believe it is back on demo units again, and it's also getting the VR treatment.
I got to try the VR a couple months back and was impressed with SuperHyperCube, but was disappointed the second I asked if they had Thumper and was told no.
(I'll be putting together the |OT| for Thumper too.)

Right? I'd like to say the new DOOM inspired this new boom in old-school shooters but then again stuff like STRAFE and Devil Daggers were happening before that

It could be everywhere and anywhere.
