Into the Badlands |S2| Live Action Anime w/ Chi Warrior Megazord | Sundays on AMC

Now he embarks on his greatest journey yet. With the death of his wife, Sunny goes around the Badlands to kill each and every Baron. The first one? The Widow.

Where's Bajie at now? Looks pretty cool!

So was the season finale? I think I missed last week's episode.

Yes. And that one (previous episode) was on an hour ago.

This final fight against Quinn made up some of the clunkier camera work in this season's fight scenes, even if Sunny lopping legs off like butter is unrealistic.

Azra being nothing more than a radio station is "wut." Baijie not waiting for Sunny and Veil is WUT. (Her blood is on his hands, IMO)

Well this is unexpected. And how did he get from South Texas to Great Britain?

We didn't. Filmed in Ireland, but the area could be like... Maine... maybe? IDK.

Solid finale to a solid season. Glad that Quinn is finally dead.

I think everything in season 2 was better than in season 1, save the fight scenes. There were some good ones here and there, but overall they were much weaker than in the first season.

Also, I'm a bit disappointed that the Master and her training temple never amounted to much - it was mostly just there to set up the cool set piece ft. MK and Bajie later on in the season.

Also also, whatever happened to that cult that Quinn's ex-wife was a part of? When they were introduced at the end of season 1 I figured they'd feature prominently into this season as one of the major factions, but they were only in that one episode and then they just kind of vanished afterwards.

Probably slaughtered by bandits, smh at the way they just let ol girl get snatched on her wedding day in episode 1 or 2 this season.

Really enjoyed the fight between Sunny and Quinn, from the lighting to the intensity. Damn Sunny!! You gotta confirm the kill though. I figured Veil's fate wasn't looking too good from the start though. Still would have been nice to see her make it out.

Now that Sunny has Henry, I guess he goes after The Widow now to get MK back.

Still not sure why she remains obsessed with him, seems like more trouble than its worth trying to restore his power. If she is able to turn him to the dark side though, it might benefit his character. Especially now since she's lost Tilda.

So the book allowed Bajie to send out a signal to someone..curious where that leads next season.

Overall really enjoyed season 2.

The writers probably had no idea what to do with them other than drop them after establishing that they can't even be bothered with violence in the name of self-defense.

I think the editing is hurting what would be otherwise good fight scenes but we gotta keep doing the usual quick close cuts and not letting us enjoying the choreo (what little there is sometimes).

I guess it's appropriate for Quinn to actually be dead this time but I wish he wasn't cause he's so hammy that I love him.

But yah Bajie acting as if on the brink of death from a little scissor stab when Quinn was still fighting with a straight sword stab is pretty silly.

Turns out the world's most dangerous killer is kinda a moron. I mean you don't go check to make sure Quinn is really dead before going off to celebrate with your family? Shitty ending to an otherwise good season.

it was quite obvious quinn wouldn't die that easily, i saw it from a mile away, but i seriously thought quinn would stab sunny from the back or something

That big battle in Quinn's bunker was a bloody mess. Arms, legs, and heads flying everywhere. But seriously?? Quinn coming back a second time and killing Veil?? That's pretty frustrating. I mean Sunny has to think after Quinn got back up the first time, you make sure he's dead the next time. Cut his head off or something. Doesn't sit right with me. I at least thought Bajie was going to come up behind Quinn and stab him with the scissors or something. Anyway, Bajie at the radio tower was interesting. Let's see where that goes.

Anyone else thinking they'll go the Sunny and cub route the next season? Show more of the Badlands while Sunny wanders around killing bad guys.

That was an excellent finale. I felt so bad for Sunny. I don't know why he didn't finish off Quinn. That shit would of never happened in real life.

Just saw the episode now. Pretty awesome. This season moved along so briskly. Still trying to figure out the ending.

Fight scenes were definitely not as good as season 1 from a choreography perspective but just about everything was a lot better in season 2.

Excited to see where things go. Fuck the widow. We need Bajie, Tilda, MK and Sunny to be the livest squad in Anime.

I was thinking he was going to behead him too. He looked down at the body as if debating it, but saw two sword holes and was like "he dead". Now his wife dies and I'm mad.

Same here.... Wtf why

Such a cheap/stupid thing. If something more believable happened, I'd be okay with it, but Veil's death was super cheap. Pretty disappointed

Just finished it. Im glad everyone has the same salty ass feeling from that cheap ass death they gave Veil. Sunny can go around and slice peoples arms, legs, and heads off smooth as fucking butter but for some odd reason Quinn has a hallow ass body and multiple full on chest stabs completely through the front and back won't kill him. They could have at least made her death believable, and not make her go out on some suicide sacrifice.

Catching up (waylaid by Twin Peaks last night.

Sonny back in his clipper threads on that bike. So good.

"I've never seen a man die alone before. I was curious." Love Nick Frost in this. Great addition to the cast.

I can definitely see this. A season focusing entirely on Sunny and his son's adventures throughout the Badlands with alot of towers to climb, flags to grab, escort missions, fetch quests, you name it.

There is the possibility of co-op but they may be added as dlc down the road.

Wait.... What are we talking about again? :p

That was good. Quinn coming back and Vale's death was silly but so is everything in this show. Bunker fights o really were awesome though.

Interested to see where we go from here.

Yeah. They could've easily just went the route of Quinn losing the fight, and turning to grab Veil as a last defense.

Veil's death was super contrived. Just stupid. Sunny is a trained killer, how do you not deliver the final killing blow?

Then again, Veil was awful this season, so it's like whatever.

Sunny you had one job to do...just one. Cut that mf'rs head off. Come on man.

Here's a controversial thought, Sunny should have gently tossed Henry in a high arc near Quinn, swooping in to finish him while he's distracted, catching Henry with his foot before he hits the ground. Everyone wins, except maybe Quinn, he's dead. I know, tossing babies isn't cool, but dammit, it might have worked lol.

Good finale to a great season
My only gripes
Sonny getting arrow only to not affect him later
Rig bombs didn't do anything but a destruct-able stage (a good set up for the final fight)

I'm glad Bajie is alive but he took Sonny's bike to he's dead

Turns out this is just leading to a Westworld tie in. They are all in a park and Bajie, being one of the few humans is signalling for the fully intact society outside to help. Quinn was a robot which is why he was so hard to kill. Opening scene of season 3 will be real Quinn monologuing while twirling his moustache. Calling it :p

I was really hoping they wouldn't go the contrived route of killing thr main character's love interest. Stupid and pointless imo. Especially since now Sunny is going to have to constantly juggle someone caring for the baby and the show loses its only doctor, so caring for major wounds becomes less believable.

My guess is we'll see the Azra faction next season and they'll end up being a big evil that unifies the current characters rather than a saving grace or utopian society.

1) The fights were probably second-best this season behind the opening episode. Loved Quinn's sai work and Bajie's nunchukus.. However it just showed how stupid Sunny's sword is with those rings. Get rid of that thing man, it makes the choreography too centered on power strikes instead of the graceful swordwork from last season.

2) Like everyone else, I was shaking my head when Sunny left Quinn there. I mean Bajie made the same mistake, but at least he's not supposed to be an expert assassin. I kinda thought he'd do some baby-fakeout and shuriken Quinn in the face, but nope. Then again, Veil was really annoying this season, so...I guess not a total loss.

3) I know they were filming in Ireland, but damn...did they really think we'd buy that Bajie was on the coast of Louisiana with those tall cliffs and the medieval castle?

4) Everything to do with M.K. is terrible. Each time they start something interesting, it quickly becomes "I'm going to leave" or "I'm going to kill you". Maybe he could at least find out what the Widow really wants first. I get that he's a angsty teenager, but...I hate angsty teen characters.

5) This is going to sound heartless, but I wish the baby had died instead of Veil. The "fighter carrying around a crying baby" trope is always awful and just slows down the pacing and focuses too much on escort missions. I guess Sunny won't be doing any stealth infiltrations next season.

6) The Bajie thing is interesting and certainly leads things in a different direction than I thought. He mentioned "saving the world"...from what? Who is he signaling? Who built that facility? So many questions.

I bet Azra created the dark ones to wipe out humanity outside their domed Utopian city. Instead, humanity found a way to survive and persevere. There's zero chance that the current people of Azra will be good guys.

I'm craving for Quinn to speak and his voice. So cheesy that it's good. I love his "hmmmm" he makes constantly. You could probably make a drinking game out of it. First two Eps in S1 i thought "who is this fucker" (partly because of his ridiculous beard) but i like him now. He also got badass when joining the nomads.

Great prep speech from him too.

Wait, Veil is dead? How? I have to say that i sometimes fall asleep during Netflix/Amazon prime sessions a lot and i accidentily get awake 3 eps later, thinking that it's still the same Ep. I have to rewatch Eps now and then :)

Just read that there will be 16 Eps for S3? Hopefully they don't overstretch it. I enjoy ITB but i don't know if it has enough meat for such long seasons.

Uf its really gonna be 16 eps hopefully they break the season up into a couple mini arcs

The thing I appreciated a lot about this season, is how they blew the world up, made it bigger. I know a lot of ppl are making jokes in here about "how is this still texas/louisana" but I never fully believed in this setting actually resembling our world. It's fantasy, i know it's supposed to be post-apocalyptic but I still treated as an alt-earth. The setting/location serving the story first and not the other way around works for me.
