I was browsing the damage control of Pokemon Sword and Shield and came upon this post, which is interesting:
This got me thinking: are Nintendo games mostly played by the millennial group or the adults? From my experience, it seems like Splatoon, a game that should target kids, is mostly making waves by the adult crowd. I'd even say Mario is purchased amongst the adult crowd.
I've also read on an article on the most popular games by kids, most of them are online/loot box oriented games (Overwatch, Star Wars Battlefront, Roblox, Fortnite):
