Is there any better genre of music for drinking songs than country?

Irish folk music. American blues. But, yeah, Country probably has them both out done. Seems like every pop country album has at least one happy drinking song and one sad drinking song on it.

Country was what my friends and I listened to the most at our parties in high school (I grew up in a small town). My parents would always blast the country music at their get-togethers too. That was when artists like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and Shania Twain were big. Always good times. So yeah, I'd say country is amazing to drink to.

Yikes. That horrid 90s adult contemporary "crossover" country.

Not really. Drinking while listening to songs that I can also enjoy without drinking is way better

Generally, yeah. Which is why I'll stick with classic rock and blues

And is also why country music makes me feel like:
