Is Xbox All Access worth it?

I'm thinking(well I know) that I want to drive back into console gaming again. The Series X and Xbox has always been my preferred console of choice, so don't need much selling points on why I should or should not buy it.

Just wondering has anyone gone down this route to purchase a Xbox before? Or am I just better off buying the console/Gold membership outright?

I have a huge backlog of games so Game Pass isn't a necessity.

Thank you.

If you're not interested in subscribing to Gamepass, there's little point in paying for it unnecessarily.

If the idea is to pay for the console comfortably, there are certainly stores and shops where you can easily finance just the price of the console.

What stores would that be?

If your going to use a payment plan to pay for something. Use it for something good. Like a House, Car, Washer Dryer, Fridge.
Don't go into debt with a toy.

Try progressive leasing and you can shop at Best buy online. A buddy I play with uses it because he can't afford to pay all at once for a console because he's in grad school.

Problem is you end up paying almost double or the item after 12 months but if you're in a pinch it might be worth it

It's worth it if you can't afford the console upfront otherwise you can just grab an X new or second hand then get gamepass codes as and when you want them

Financing a console is just dumb. If you can't buy it outright, just save up. There's only one instance it would be smart. If you already have the money to purchase it and can finance at 0% interest. Then you take the money you were going to use to purchase it, put it in an interest bearing account that can give you like 4 or 5%. Then close to the end of the financing term, withdraw the money and pay it off. You'd end up getting cheaper due to the money made from the interest.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
All Access is honestly a pretty terrible deal

It's $887.76 for a Series X and 24 months of Game Pass Ultimate, and you have to open a line of credit. This means you have to be approved as creditworthy, and you get a hard inquiry on your credit report.

The Series X consoles are getting discounted for the holidays, and you can still convert Game Pass Core ($60/year) to Game Pass Ultimate at a rate of 3:2 for up to three years (converts 3 years of Core to 2 years of Ultimate) - meaning you can buy three prepaid $60 cards and save.

So that's $629 for exactly the same thing (1x Series X console, 3x Game Pass Core prepaid year cards), which you can buy right now at Best Buy, which is a savings of $258.76. If you can't afford to buy it all up front, you're still better off getting a regular credit card and buying the discounted pieces themselves and paying the interest on the card until it's paid off.

I did and the only plus is that Game Pass was bundled with it (but not sure if that is still the case).

Phone reception is more important to me than human rights
I would only do this if I had no other choice. I dont recommend it.

If you have decent credit just applying for a credit card or more versatile credit line would be better. IMO, any credit line thats locked to a specific item or store is never a good idea.

I considered this in 2020 for the Series X launch but I ended up just buying the console. The good thing about All Access is that it’s not like other financing services where you end up paying double or more. At least the way it was four years ago, you actually saved money by doing All Access. Now with the GP increases, idk if that’s still the case.

My credit is shot. Actually trying to work on it currently.

I do know someone willing to sell me a brand new Series X for $350, it's just a matter of buckling down and saving towards it.

Weren't there some absurd sales on the Series X last Christmas even with a game for $250 or $300?
