Spent a few hours today grinding out 250 gems for a 10 pull in Bleach. Ended up with 4 4* and 6 3*.
Sucks that they can't ever be evolved to 5*.
Burned through all my free tickets only to find that the energy system has to be the least generous of any gacha I've played. 5 energy max with a 50 minute full recharge? That's basically 7 mins of gameplay per 50 minutes.
Then I took a look at the upgrade trees and ascension mechanics, and holy hell, this game is grind city, and what's even the point of going out of my way on these 4* units when I'd trash them in a second the moment I'd get any 5* units.
I'll stick with gacha games that are actually satisfying and fair in their gacha models, like Brave Frontier, where every premium summon can evolve all the way 6*, and most to 7*.
I actually like the Soul Ticket mechanic. Every mission costs the same, so you don't need to worry about a Super Hard quest taking up half of your stamina to run. Early on, it might seem like a waste, but once you reach the higher levels where Missions are more advanced/difficult with higher pay-outs, it'll start leaning in your benefit.
No evolution(s) is disappointing, although the game young, even in Japan. It's possible we might get it later on, along with expanded character customization trees. At least, that's the hope.
3/4* units, if you're not going to use them, are still useful for ascension fodder for your 5* units since they give more XP than standard level fodder. Don't sell them!
I do agree that they need to work on their gatcha system. Having 5* be as rare as they are (3%, I heard), along with basically needing them for the later Missions (due to the difficult), means some people could eventually hit a wall that they can't overcome, unless they started with a few nice 5* (this is why I recommend re-rolling for one just in case) or get lucky along the way. It's the same situation in DBZ: Dokkan Battle actually, where SR are decent but to do the truly hardcore stuff you need awakened SSR/LR. If you don't get them via the gatcha, you're in for a rough time. What I'd like to see is a guaranteed 5*/SSR for every 10-pull. Given how expensive they are, as well as no guarantee that you'll get the 5*/SSR that you're after, people will still likely pull multiple times and/or reach into their wallet, and at least they will definitely see something "useable" out of their purchase.
I know, I doubt it'll ever happen.
Cool - how does coop work...do you need facebook/line or whatever ? Havent checked it yet.
And yeah the game looks great - even with the simple look the resolution and colors are great. Kinda made me realize how awesome 3DS games could look in HD.
You don't need LINE or anything, just hit Co-Op, make a room yourself or join a random one, and off you go. It can be laggy though, at least that's been my experience. It might be better for the host, I'm not entirely sure.
I agree, the game looks nicer than I thought it would, especially the special animations.
