Every song sounds amazing. They really didn't lie with the title, it's very very poppy.
Love it. Their indie sound was just guitar/drums/bass but they added some synth/whatever in this, which I think fits their universe. Dunno if old fans will dig it but hey.

tl;dr - Vancouver-born doctor pays and puts on a tour for indie bands from Japan to play across Canada every year.

I just heard about this a few days ago, and I'll be sure to go to the Vancouver show coming up. It was unfortunate that I didn't get to see any live music while I was in Japan, so I'm glad I can support these kinds of bands from home.

dunno who, but Suzuki Mamiko's recent EP is pretty chill and Kotei Camera Gal's album is great. Not necessarily the strongest rappers, but those are in pretty short supply anyway

speaking of Mamiko, i forgot about Chelmico's recent EP.

Yeah, I was thinking more serious rappers, but I'll still listen to those. I think Rooster12 was the guy who follows the J-rap scene closer than any of us. He had really great recommendations I'd never heard of a few years ago.
