If this escalates, it will be a huge blow to the MCU. You can say they’ll recast him, but it would be incredibly difficult for Marvel\Disney to handle this.

Not saying it will happen or anything like this, but Marvel already set a precedent in Loki stating that same actors doesn't need to play every variant of the same character, so potential recasting isn't that far-fetched
