In the 3 or 4 years that I have been doing these lists, this has to be, by far, the most difficult one. So many good quality tracks. I split them in categories to simplify things and give some intrigue to the actual ranking for the end of the year list.
Chungha - 초련 (Power) @ Immortal Songs 2 [20170701]
You can count on Chungha delivering spectacle like a industry veteran.
Woah, I thought I was the only one in all of K-Pop GAF who's crazy enough to consider this as a top 10 song since this seems like it never went on anyone's radar. I mean it's only got 280k views on YT 5 months later... it's seriously underrated imo(and I'd love to be wrong about this).
Not gonna make a list right now, but Red Velvet - Body Talk is probably the best song of the first half of 2017.
If I included B-sides, I would had definitely included this. Not gonna make a list right now, but Red Velvet - Body Talk is probably the best song of the first half of 2017.
Ah, it's a shame this video is missing hisHere's a subbed version of the whole thing, as well as the first encounter the guy had with RV
"CRAZY" FANBOY SHOUTING TO ALL HIS FAV IN K POP [FANDOM GOALS]
o/\o
Such a legendary gif. It was thanks to that and Gee that I first became aware of K-pop, but it was Hello Baby that really sealed the deal.
I'll be so disappointed if SM phones it in but I'm kind of expecting them to to do exactly that.
Probably been discussed before but now that you mention what was it that got you all into kpop?
luso, both you and josecito need to come back on track for the August comeback.
And yeah, I feel like SM should have in the works a girl group debut for either this year or early next year.
I'm expecting a group with more mainstream appeal this time around. I hope they actually try to build up some hype and promo push unlike what they did with Red Velvet.
K.A.R.D Teaser Images for BM and Jiwoo.

I never left, Kpop overall is quite meh these days, seeing legendary groups that got me into kpop in the first place is not helping keeping me interested, only a handful of groups and some random visual here and there. It's amazing how much has happened in almost 9 years i've been following this industry.
I'm always up to date with SNSD and general news, i'm surprised nobody posted about what Sunny did a couple of days ago, she organized a fan meet with the people from Soshified.
I'll do a track list of what i liked so far this year, sadly the latest release from Black Pink is not one of them, i'm quite salty about it, wtf YG.
sunny is soo damn perfect
Heh, I tried to tell you about Zen/Ryzen last year...Heh, I'm mostly joking about lag. My FX-8320 still runs like a champ even though I'm planning to switch a Ryzen 1600 at the end of July. Also fuck those bitcoin miners... I want to buy a 6GB GTX 1060 right now but I can't even find one nor am I willing to pay $500 for what was $230 2 months ago. That's some bullshit imo.
But I digress...
Oh, "Singing in the Rain" is good no doubt. I have to agree that "Eclipse" seems like it will be more enjoyable for a longer period of time in part due to its vibe-y-ness.I do agree about Eclipse being more in the pocket and yeah, one of the reasons why I love it is it's similarity to the current Ladies Code sound but at same time, Singing In the Rain is just fire and just super fun to listen to.

Do you think SM will debut a new girl group next year? I mean, f(x) are mostly dead leaving RV the only truly active girl group.

Mad Clown is a solid rapper and imo he is pretty underrated. His voice works well with many styles and going through his catalogue he has some pretty great duets and songs.
Does Jiwoo have some ink or something? She's always in long sleeves

Anyway, so I just read that this predebut Loona thing won't be 12 months long but 18? They still will be 12 members, but I guess that explains the gap they had in February and March.
Presumably they will have a similar gap between October and January where ther shouldn't be new debuted girls since there are already members for those months. That's going to be a long ass break, maybe they take advantage to promote more subunits or have 2nd releases for some of the members.
Since February and March are vacant, I guess those will be the last 2 members? What if they go all survival show for to decide those two members during that 4 month break?
In any case, it's a bummer they aren't going to debut this year, it's a bit too much.
And wow at this, both Somin and Jiwoo not holding back at all! I'm kind of enjoying this kpop group with international focus.
In the first vid who is the one with the brown hair and bangs? She steals my attention. The blonde with the choker (Eunseo?) has her moments as well. From a different video of this performance Seola seems the most controlled with dancing but conveys less feeling. Hard to find out which members it is on phone.

I mean the one who is on the left at the end, definitely brown hair, not too dark. If that is Dawon, she's got the feeling. As for the blonde, I guess I do mean Eunseo. In IDing her I was going by another vid which was apparently them doing this bit somewhere else because she has a choker there but I didn't check back to this one to see she doesn't here.I believe the one with brown hair and bangs (and a choker right?) is Dawon. Main vocal who participated in that singing show with Sojung, Boa, Seunghee, etc.. I believe the blonde one with the choker is Exy, Eunseo is the other blonde sans choker
So, Block Berry Creative expect us to wait an additional ~6 months or so?Loona shenanigans rant

공민지(Minzy) - Minzy X Marquese Scott "Ninano" full ver.
And that Apink drunk clip is GLORIOUS.
Yup. Must be the second time I've done that. At least I caught myself the other time. Not sure why I have "Gravity" on the mind.By Gravity I assume you mean Galaxy. Anyway, not sure if I ever spoke out about it, but The Rain is my favorite LC song. Not a big fan of galaxy.
Dunno, "Galaxy" is definitely moody and somber, though I don't find it as depressing as some of you.Lol I'm pushing my Ryzen build to August or September instead. I picked up a PS4 this weekend plus I'm super interested in Threadripper as I'm gonna be diving into 4K video editing at the end of the year.
Also yeah after a week, SitR is still a great song, but Eclipse is starting to fight back hard. Gonna give it another week and see how far both can go lol.
Finally, yep agree that The Rain is the better song. Galaxy was too somber and depressing like llehuty mentions, whereas the The Rain is a lot more upbeat and isn't so much of a mood killer.
I need to see K.A.R.D at some point before DSP ruins them. Along with Dreamcatcher I prolly want to see those two acts more than, say, Red Velvet and Blackpink; which says a lot.SO, the K.A.R.D show

Brunette with bangs in the first video is Dawon. She's either tied for best singer, or at worst she's #2 vocal. About as shy as Exy and she's doesn't often show a great deal of personality. Plus she's not as naturally/surgically pretty as some of the others which does factor into her popularity with female and male fans, young and old.In the first vid who is the one with the brown hair and bangs? Unless they execute this protracted pre-debut period extremely well, they could face backlash or diminished interest from fans.

Girls' Generation will come back with their 6th full album.

I guess Purple is the next girl color. Not sure I can handle the subunit that will result of these girls.
