I listened religiously back then. Even went to a Virus show when they toured in 08 or so. I fell out of the loop for probably a decade. It was only last year that I checked out Compound. Jimmy seems to be doing great and is married to a trans person (no surprise), Opie is Opie, and Ant recently moved to South Carolina and is just enjoying life, still does a daily show. He also does a show with Gavin Mcinnes each week. To anyone reading this, I know these people are frightening if you only see headlines but man, those two together are the funniest people on the planet AFAIC. Ant IMO is the funniest person alive now that Norm is no longer with us.

Pretty damn sure he stopped drinking after his triple bypass, but yeah Opie's life is pathetic and somehow his cheap ass saved enough of the millions at least to keep his house in the Hamptons and the Trump Tower pad.

Working with Sam does Jimmy zero favors lol but I always thought his comedy was terrible. He was much more entertaining to listen to when he was in arguments or doing his characters.

But Vice City’s storyline, 80’s Miami, music and visuals meshed just right.
I expect GTA VI to be of course decades ahead of Vice City in visuals and yet not come even close “in the feels”.

The Feels died when GTA left PS2. We're never going to get GTA that looks like a living 3d interactive version of Garbut's art off of PS2 HW.

They need to step up their parody/satire game. V was ham-fisted and crude, particularly the radio spots. Good satire is subtle and intelligent, and lets what it's making fun of do all the work.
If DEI bullshit is present, or if they're afraid of offending people with those sensibilities, it's fucked.

PS2 era GTAs employ a clever satire that's been lost in newer games - both 4 and 5 are too crude, on-the-nose and full of American partisan politics.
Rockstar's privately owned and never has to worry about offending anyone or DEI.

Story wise both Vice City and San Andreas are my favorites. But liked Vice City a bit more for the city which is my favorite gta city still. And also because it's my first. A current gen version would be perfect so can't wait for the release!
