right i concede on this point . maybe subconsciously and this part is all my opinion. i equate humility as a positive trait. i always grew up with it . my first foray into american music was in the 90s where my first exposure was actually micheal jackson. belive it or not i had watched music videos of earth song. i want to "what about us " , black or white. catchy songs all with good messages. i can never remember him being full of himself. i don't think his fans ever fought with other fans about the worth of his music /message in comparison to other artists. maybe i am wrong with this. but modern music especially american pop music seems to be all about queens and kings with relatively little message. it to me always seemed more selfish, maybe its the times, maybe its all about having less humility and promoting their own opinions. maybe this is why the fans behave like this .

i will confess when i was a teenager i would have done the same thing. argued about n64 vs psx . or ps2 vs xbox. but heres the thing. when you get older . you start to give little to no value to opinions and eventually more to objectivity . i mean this ain't highschool. people in the entire thread could stand up , start a twitter hash, start a fire about something . as long as it remains subjective and opinionated . its really wouldn't affect me . dare i say it shouldn't affect you as well? you like pop thats fine. let it help guide you through life. some people don't like pop music. that shouldn't even matter.
