That was as good of a winding down episode as can be expected. Everyone feels responsible in their own way and mourns over him, but hardens their resolve. Especially liked how Keith pretty much bitchslaps Bogue for daring to insult Messer. RIP.

That whole ending song was great, especially with Kaname taking the lead in it. I think Giraffe Blues is probably my favorite song so far.

And the Remember 16 cover was nice too, but it's unfortunate how heavily I associate that song with that "Gamlin meets Physica's wife and child" scene in 7 that I can't enjoy its placement here.

I like how the mentioned how important Messer was to general effectivenes of the squad, his loss one guy represented 37% of their fighting power . Even that I feel isn't accurate enough, they all suck really, really bad.

37% yeah no more like 60 with hayate making up 30 because he always is always protecting freyja Walkure. Chuck arad and mirage make up the rest. Alpha sqaud is worthless cannon fodder which is sad becuae such a waste of beautiful vfs.

I guess auto pilot kicks on once no life or movement from pilot? Thought he was going to crash and burn. I wonder if they will get a new pilot or let hayate take up messers part like he declared.

Messer wasn't 37% of the squad? He was the squad. He's like the Roy before Hikaru fucking manned the fuck up and stepped up to the fucking plate. Everybody else minus Hayate getting buffed by Freyja is fucking Kakizaki tier. Gotta give it to Reina dropping the truth bomb. Are these kids singing that song Basara kept singing to Sivil trying to revive her?

It has waterslides which is a good thing, but I need to see how sticker heavy it is first...

I also kind of want to wait to see if they do a Mirage color way too

I'm in the same situation, I want one but I'll wait for some reviews first to see how good or bad is this kit.

About the Mirage color, I think it's pretty much guaranteed that there will be one down the line, Arad's version is coming out in July and then Keith's SV-262 in August so I'd think that models for Mirage, Chuck and Messer would come later.

They're singing the song that Basara sang during the time
Gamlin went to inform his subordinate's wilfe and child that their husband/father passed away, only to find that the wife was already with another man and that the child was already calling the new man "papa"
. I don't have good feelings towards this song.

It's more like the friend lied and they had probably been divorced for a while. Gamlin was a coward for not telling her still.

NUNS are assholes, and also some heavy Mirage suffering. I'm liking Mirage a lot more as her arc continues. What with her already being buried under the weight of being a Jenius despite not being naturally talented at piloting, and then along comes Hayate, who is both a natural pilot as well as seemingly gifted with fold receptors. And then she gets even more responsibility shoved onto her and now needs to handle Messer's position of second-in-command. Whatever underdog sympathy they're trying to give her is working pretty well. Her declaration of rivalry to both Hayate and Freyja was pretty good.
Still on the Freyjatrain, though.

They keep teasing who Lady M this, Lady M that. I just want to know, especially considering how many important "M"s there are.

Macross Elysion is pretty fucking awesome too. That transformation. Can't wait to see it in action next time.

Umm so NUN blowing shit up going to make ragna just like Windermere? Slow, but understandable as they got to build up the battle. Nice scene with freyja and hayate with mirage getting some resolve. Hope it's not completely one-sided next ep although that is the impression I get. Hayate please shoot down Keith.

It's pretty funny watching how Hayate is literally dense anime protagonist tier in terms of his interactions with the triangle, with his "Freyja, I love you...r songs!" and "Mirage, you've got me...and Chuck and the captain!"

And people still claim he's better than Alto regarding his love triangle. Alto stubbornly refused to pick a side. I honestly don't even think Hayate even realizes he's in a love triangle.

Oddly enough I agree. I mean Alto pissed me off with Sheryl and Ranka, but I felt something between those three. I like Freyja and Mirage, but I just don't feel the shipping really, it's kind of just there. It's not even Basara/Mylene/Gamlin tier, it's just barely there.

There's really been entirely too little progress with the love triangle so far. I rather miss the intensity of the one in Frontier.

Thank you. I hate when it's just me with this stuff. Frontier wasn't afraid to devote episodes to the idol characters so you really felt them and embraced them as characters. Delta just is either afraid to do it or just doesn't want to. I mean imagine an ep where Mirage is chasing her panties half way across the galaxy. Yeah it's kind of low brow but I loved how Frontier used it to open up Sheryl. I mean Mirage is supposed to be like Gamlin, which I can see, the show just doesn't open her up that much. I like her a lot too. I loved seeing her go "Shimata!" when she was caught by Hayate and Freyja, but she just reverts back to being a stick in the mud. Imagine if Frontier just kept Sheryl as a bitch and Ranka as some unconfident shy girl. The show and characters just wouldn't work and the intensity between the triangle wouldn't really exist. That's the best love triangle since Misa/Hikaru and Minmei.

Is that a bad thing? There lack of focus on the love triangle has made this much better.

Your love triangle now is Kaname struggling to come to terms with being completely platonic now that Messer is gone for good and Arad trying to get at her.

Hayate and Mirage will come together once Hayate is about to die and Mirage gets a fold orgasm and learns how to dance with the wind with Hayate and they do some fold aerial intercourse and proclaim their love and devotion to each other that way later on.

Mikumo is straight up goddess status with how little she gives a fuck outside of the bigger picture.

There's no need for over exaggerated and melodrama like in Frontier. Yes May'n sings great and Sheryl is beautiful. Doesn't change the fact at how shitty Alto was and how Sheryl and Ranka should have told Alto to go fuck off to become Galactics Queens together.

But I liked Frontiers melodrama. I too welcome the alternate dimension where the ending to Frontier was Sheryl and Ranka telling Alto to fuck off and they hop on a Megaroad and just scissor their way through space. Absolutely fine with that shit. Yeah I'm waiting for Mirage to get her shit together and I can't wait to see what you mention...Mirage really does need a Fold orgasm, she just seems like a dead fish sexually. It's like Miria never got the chance to explain to her the joys of Yack Deculture. "MIrage-chan, don't you know why you have all these damn aunts? Go out there, shake dat ass, wear a thong, it's about dat Deculture." Then again it wouldn't surprise me if she knows about it and was just emotionally scarred by Max and Miria bumping uglies late at night.

Could've just let Freyja fall to her death, but she steps up and saves her ass. That was a good episode, loved how that chick held the door.
