Something else that is hard to predict: Are they going to hold back some of the big guns to sell as attractive DLC, or will they try to get all of the superstars on the disc, then sell the B-tier characters like Winter Soldier or Falcon as DLC? That becomes a really interesting conversation, as you can potentially leave some bigger characters off the initial roster and sell them as major draws for DLC. All depends just how sleazy they want to be with this.

Also, FAR less has happened in the Capcom realm between MVC3 and now than MVC2 and 3, which is why you see so many familiar faces.

I tried limiting to 2 characters from a single franchise in my guesses excluding SF because the chances of the game having Ryu, Chun-Li and Akuma are really high as they have been in all the Marvel series. Though a lot of my guesses were based purely on me wanting certain characters in lol

For predicting the Marvel side of the roster, I look at the stars in each of the current and upcoming MCU films and work my way out from there.

The only three characters on my list that don't qualify as "protagonist of a MCU film" are Daredevil (protagonist of a massively successful MCU Netflix show), Dormammu (badass villain from Dr. Strange) and Loki (basically the main antagonist of the entire MCU up to this point). I expect all three to get in just for some diversity, if you can even call that diversity

Capcom is in the new school business of selling season's passes and shit. Only way to do that these days is to hold content back and sell that shit piece meal.

Sigtron would be a better end-boss imo. MvC bosses have either been Marvel characters or original creations. In MvC3 they literally tried to sell Wesker and Doom as the main antagonists in a story that barely existed, and instead Galactus became the boss.

If the boss is an actual amalgam of a pair of Capcom's and Marvel's signature villains it'd make a whole lot more sense considering this is a crossover, and it'd pretty much make Ultron and Sigma guaranteed inclusions as separate characters. It makes sense combining the two.

Yeah, I'm feeling confident about his chances. If not base-game, then definitely DLC.

At the very least, MMX is a good sign they're listening.
