This is also true. You don't get 30 second staredowns midmatch in Fire Pro.

And who would want to miss MOTY?

Oh yeah, Seph, been meaning to ask. Is the difficulty set to the highest in the game? I know that can affect the AI quite dramatically.

Boots, can you recommend say 10 events or matches to watch for the Four Pillars of AJPW? I want to get more versed in NJPW & AJPW history which seems to be a bit harder to piece together whereas NWA/WCW is much easier.

It's probably easier to list the feuds that really defined them.

For Misawa I'd definitely start with the Jumbo Tsuruta feud - it's one of the best generational stories in wrestling, with the ageing hero Jumbo turning vicious as he feels the young upstart Misawa biting at his heels. This is one of the first matches that really kicked things off; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XqCPTqoPIM but it's not the best of the 6-man tags they had in 90 & 91, seriously watch any tag with Misawa & Jumbo from that era, it'll be good. And then make sure to watch their singles matches; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAWXtWPl5eE & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58x8VgWCdYo which made Misawa a megastar.

Kawada was defined by his struggle to break free of Misawa's shadow, they had far too many classic singles matches to list but here's a few; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUVA5qchql0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfE9x5oB8YQ & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cthi8abaPd8 he also had a fucking amazing 60 minute draw with Kobashi, well worth hunting that one down.

Kobashi played a hugely popular underdog role for much of the early 90's, but had some seriously classic matches with a ton of guys during that time. Hansen (they had like 5 matches, every one of them amazing), Gordy, Misawa, Akiyama - all well worth a watch. He was also involved in what might be the best tag match of all time; https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x...ress-c-vs-kobashi-kikuchi-ajpw-05-25-92_sport

Taue was the least likely of the four pillars, but his "miracle run" in 95 & 96 is one of the best periods in AJPW - start with his tag work with Kawada as the Holy Demon Army, including this all-time classic; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38xWXVuJQwE and the follow-up; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHsuvDfC8aw then some of his singles; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBrRz3gXz9M & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v5panuPs44. Also, Taue in NOAH is great fun, he's such a grumpy old bastard. Here's a great match of his vs Nagata; http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x310o8x

As an addendum, the Kobashi & Kikuchi vs Furnas & Kroffat from 1992 has been described as the best tag match of all time and is certainly worth a watch to understand Kobashi's ascent.

Did new Fire Pro actually start taking early access sales yet? Or are they still announcing what they're going to put out in the beginning?

It's going to launch pretty complete apparently. No MP3 support at first though. Should be out "before summer vacation" but there's another event 21st June.

Bless you both

You still can't even store MP3 files on the PS4 hard drive directly. I wouldn't count on that feature carrying over to the PS4 version

sharefactory does but it has to be on a USB device

MLB the show lets you import music from a USB drive that is then stored on the hard drive. I love having my own customized walk up music and look forward to Fire Pro allowing customizable entrance tunes.

oh shit i didnt know this

You can add crowd chants, in game music, home run music and much much more.

Also, for a game where you spend a lot of time in menus having it only be music I like on shuffle makes it much more tolerable.

My similar practice for Fire Pro Returns on PSN is to turn the in-game music off, crank my tunes through my stereo and turn the TV speakers on for game sound effects, do this for quite a few games actually.

Russo would probably want to turn Roman heel, which would probably get him fired by Vince

I think they're set to hard?
