The only thing that will be interesting will be Wii vs PS3. Of course, there's no way the winner of that battle will be able to compete with the DS in terms of sales.

What? It does better in Europe than handhelds have done in a very long time, dominating top 10 multiplatform charts for the first time.

Not in Switzerland, I assure you !!

Perhaps I was not clear: what I mean is that NOBODY speak about Nintendo DS here. But of course I have seen the charts and even in Europe the Nintendo DS is really a great success.

I think it's kinda obvious. The DS has the I NEED IT appeal to Japanese consumers, plus portability. The PS3's price is really going to hurt it, despite how popular the brand name still is. And with the Wii, even if it has that I NEED IT appeal, it's not a portable. If Wii or PS3 could somehow outsell the DS... *that* would be scary.

It already did. At the time nintendogs was released it all started. At Christmas there were DS and Nintendogs shortages, this year Brain Training and New Super Mario Bros.

Perhaps it is not part of Europe, but I'm convinced that it is and remains the best thing: we have politcal stability, high occupation and safety. And our political system, the semi-directed democracy, is the best in the world.

Probably near 1million when everything is in!
Plus 160-200,000 DS. Thats $$$$$$$xMillions
If the DS sells its 2 million production units a month thats $240m a month in hardware sales! Add onto that software sales, and Nintendo shareholders are in for a nice treat this year!!

If Nintendo wants to be smart they should package a Wii trailer DVD with Pokemon D/P. Especially pushing Pokemon Battle Revolution, which should be a nice Xmas/New Year seller if it does indeed make it for Xmas/New Year.
