Famitsu updated the SW chart for 5/15-5/21 but they made a mistake and posted the HW chart for 4/26-5/02 2004. :lol

For every 1 mill DS+DSL sold only ~150K PSP are being sold... that is just insane. (post DSL launch)

The PS2 and GC ratio was never that bad in their prime; was it?

Between December 31st and March 31st Nintendo's financial report showed they only shipped 10K worldwide. They weren't lying when they said it was just a seasonal product.

Looking at 2004 you see a lot of:
PS2 40,000/50,000
GC 5000

But GBA at about the same amount as PS2 at that time.

Jesus....this is now just flat out ridiculous. Insane.

It's even scarier that the DS has had, I believe, only sub-100k week since the DS Lite came out -- nearly 3 months ago.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Famicom Mini SMB = 4,282 (1,179,102). :)

they describe gbm as a seasonal product, not a permanent upgrade

Nintendo makes products that cannibalize each other. I don't know if that's a good idea or not, can you play DSL games on DS or the other way around?

"GBA after SP" after 13 weeks: 256K
"DS after DSL" after 13 weeks: 416K
Time for "GBA after SP" to reach 416K: 28 weeks

DS after 13 weeks: 1.85M
PSP after 13 weeks: 0.97M
So this week DSL overtook the original model DS for the same period of time.

This week DS+DSL's share of the DS/PSP market was 91.4%. A new record, beating out last week's 87.9%.

If GameFront's story holds up, then it's unlikely we'll see original DS sales rise again. Nintendo hasn't shipped (m)any in about a month or so.

That chart is horrible, the DSLite is selling so much that you can't see the bars of the other consoles properly. They should do YTD for other consoles vs DS weeklies instead, should make things more visible.

In reality it did, since Dengeki counted it as such. Too bad Media Create always seems to fall a little behind them.

I'd give the Famitsu totals for May next week if I had the separate totals for the weeks of 04/24-05/07.
