Speaking in terms of the FF13 port possible sales, This is the first thing that came to my mind(although the situation was much different back then, X-box 360 was in it's rpg boom days, and ps3 was nowhere near the spred it is now):
I know there are others, What are other Japan late x-box 360 ports?

Unrelated to that, Graces PS3 Dec 2 release date, its impressive how even Sega notices a release just 1 day later than MHP3 wouldn't be best for Shining Hearts and delays it two weeks but Namco, hah. Be it 5 days later than Pokemon Red/Green remakes, a week before FFXIII or a day later than MHP3, they always manage to put a Tales right beside a behemoth several times bigger. I'm just kinda waiting for the '3DS, coming Dec 4th' for the full tales sandwich :lol

There is a possibility it has the biggest opening for a Metroid after Metroid 3.

10 days more to go for Pokemon and from today it is the most preordered DS game at comgnet (it left DQIX behind). Still no information for initial shipment.

To be fair though, Shining Hearts is actually on the same platform as MHP3, so there is a much bigger impact there.

Depends on the Wii Party drop - I'd guess it will be somewhere around 45k, so Metroid could be almost as high as that. 30-35k wouldn't surprise me though, given the series history and the general state of "core" titles on the system.

Was thinking if any reprint of a re-release made it to the top10 on its start, but so-so. Yakuza 1 no number, MHP1 no number, Mingol 4 did 4,638...but then there's MHP2G with 30k...but it was in December and didn't make it to top10.

So, impressive for MW2 lol.
