At this point it's the hardware pushing the software and not the other way around. No one's buying a PS3 for Red Dead Redemption. For hardware to go up we need to see a console seller like GT5
sometime next year :(

Its always impressive to see 96/97 SCE data and then their post-PS2 level. GT5 news just icing on the cake...

Btw, very good week ahead for predictions, 4 SCE games at once is 1 less than they have released all year on PS3 (4 of those 5 being SCEA/SCEE games). Keep up the good work SCEJ.

It's not worth bumping the Level 5 Vision 2010 thread for this but regarding the 4 unannounced games:

-Inazuma Eleven 3: Ogre was unknown then and now is set for release at December 16.
-Level-5 X Baseball Game that was mentioned some time ago (Baseball edition of Inazuma Eleven) will be revealed there as Coro Coro says.
-Mystery Room is set for December 9 (but shouldn't be one of the 4 games).

For whatever anecdotal information is worth, Okamiden was sold out of a number of shops when I was in Akiba last weekend. I don't think it was impossible to find if one was looking for it, but I don't think stock was plentiful.

Yeah I commented on this in one of the recent Level 5 threads. I think the Little Battlers one. They have 3 major titles coming out in December this year, and two of them are new IPs. Very... risky imo.

Also, I think the baseball game is probably the trademark they made previous - Sengoku Baseball Team.

I'm not sure what the percentages refer to.. Iwata mentioned in it's release that HG and SS were the catalyst into bringing older players into the franchise, but I was hoping to hear what the sales age team had to say...

So anyone wants to shine a light here?

Here's hoping that the Biohazard 5 AE Move bundle makes it the second HD game to sell over 1 million copies in Japan and the third from any company not Nintendo or handheld.

Yeah. Ninokuni will probably be fine with it being a Ghibli game and all but The Little Battlers has nothing going for it and it's being released one day after MHP3.

The anime better catch on fast because I can see the game debuting as low as IE did (42k) at launch.

Humongous number of releases, what to predict? Mario is the no brainer. Vanquish on both PS3/360 seems appropriate too, but not so sure going with Naruto 360 (PS3 one yes). Then the other Wii games are somewhat notable (Family Trainer 3 and NMH2) but will probably do so-so. Finally, Move stuff outside Time Crisis, RE5 and Sports Champions seem very minor, although even those 3 don't look like hot sellers either.

Let's go for the bigggest sellers
Wii Mario, PS3/360 Vanquish, PS3 Naruto. Move titles don't look very hot from preorders, maybe Time Crisis and Sports Champions. I don't think RE will be count as new SKU.

Those titles kinda screw the percentage ranking. Say you predict 15k and it sells 7'5k, well you're 100% off from that one alone. Meanwhile what you predicted to sell 500k sells 300k, you're only 40% off.

Thus why I asked before including it and other similar-looking titles. NMH2, Family Trainer 3, Sports Champions, Time Crisis, RE5 Gold Move and Naruto 2 360 all seem to be within those risky ranges. Could do respectable 20-30k or could do 2-3k rendering our prediction game useless in the percentage ranking :p
