considering you have to prop up the PS4 by looking at Wii U numbers I'd say it looks pretty bad

Late gen PSP showed a similar disparity.Vita is so weird. Has a console ever been this alive ("alive") and so dead everywhere else? Saturn?
Tastes more like these Dave:
Should we expect a new Nintendo handheld soon?

I wonder if Yokai Watch has a chance of hitting a million before the sequel is released. Still seems really soon for a sequel though. You would think they might want to hold off until the year end holiday season instead... but I guess Level5's gonna Level5.
Reading this post is like biting into a lemon.

What else can Sony do to improve its situation in the West? Bundle with PS4?
Ha ha!SmokyNicholson
Confirmed release dates from April through June:
PS4 will at least sell 1 million this year, right?

I'm not sure it will ever hit 1 million in Japan.
New users as in new owners. Out of curiousity, in what other ways could new users mean and what relevance does the PSP has to the previous arguements? New users as in people who didnt use to play games before? In that case, i dont think there are much untapped market left in the gaming industry, especially after the DS and cellphone/tablets happened. I dont think that the PSP brought in many new users in this case either, i think most PSP owners were already playing games before, but that is just a pure guess from my side thoughnot really. depending on how you define new users. PSV+PSP are down YOY.
Ah ok, thanks I knew i had read it somewhere that VitaTV wouldnt be tracked anymore, but i forgot that it was Dengeki. That was Dengeki. Famitsu still track it

Wasn't PSP a bigger success than Vita in Japan because of Monster Hunter?Vita is so weird. Has a console ever been this alive ("alive") and so dead everywhere else? Saturn?

Look at last year. Look at this year. 3DS Drop, Vita UP, WiiU drop. Thats them long term trends.
Final Fantasy XV.
Kingdom Hearts III.
They could turn Minecraft into something special, and they could approach R* and throw them a stack of cash to make San An / Los Santos Stories.
Neither will happen.

PSP had way more support on the Western front. I mean the GTA games alone were system seller for it in the Western markets.Late gen PSP showed a similar disparity.
That said it was doing notably better everywhere.
I wonder if the decision was accelerated with Yokai's inclusion in the new free game programme over there; give it away for free to new purchasers now, and down the line secure a sequel sale to them.

Not that it is really important, but Moero Chronicle was delayed to May 15.
