Vita must have a pretty good attach rate.
Oh, come on now.
If Wii U gets 30K sales in a few weeks, you can be damned sure no one would reasonably call it impressive. I don't see why Vita should be seen differently.
WiiU will get its jump in less than half a month I guess. We'll see just what power Pikmin still has, or if Nintendo really DOESN'T price drop to accompany it.
[PS3] <FTG> (Warner Entertainment Japan) {2013.06.27} (¥7.280) - 3.717 / NEW <20-40%>
But 3DS also saw a rise, which I didn't expect. New EO numbers, I don't think is what Atlus was aiming for. Sub-EOIV numbers probably means they should stick to the old formula, but let's see how its legs hold up.
If it get's to 30k on Pikmin then that sure would be impressive.
Etrian Odyssey series:
[NDS] Etrian Odyssey (Atlus) {2007.01.18} - 31.702 / 122.461
[NDS] Etrian Odyssey 2: The Royal Grail (Atlus) {2008.02.21} - 85.555 / 145.421
[NDS] Etrian Odyssey 3: Visitors in Star Ocean (Atlus) {2010.04.01} - 94.462 / 139.576
[3DS] Etrian Odyssey IV: Denshou no Kyojin (Atlus) {2012.07.05} - 97.142 / 134.499
[3DS] Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millenium Girl (Atlus) {2013.06.27} - 92.566 / NEW
If it get's to 30k on Pikmin then that sure would be impressive.
Why wouldn't they? Why would they advertise the inferior PSP version? Why wouldn't Sony push the biggest vita game thus far (despite it being multiplatform)?we don't know if they will favor the PSV version during the marketing campaign.
Sure, but will NAMCO stay idle and do nothing about the PSP version? They still make a lot of money on PSP.I don't see why they wouldn't. Hasn't SCEJA's Vita marketing of late basically been all hunting action, all the time?
Didn't Toukidan review badly?
Pretty much series fatigue, they really need to get back to mixing it up with titles like Mana Khemia and Ar Tonelico
Famitsu numbers?
And it turns out the effort to broaden the appeal of Etrian Odyssey nets them the exact same audience who keeps buying Etrian Odyssey. Lol.

It is also the white premium, the retail version of NSL U, and the Nintendoland+Wii remote set.
If it cannot manage at least 30K from all that....
It's better? How did Vita version of Toukiden sell more than PSP?

That WiiU barely ahead the PS3... And it started much better...

It's interesting you say that as Starry Sky sold more on PSP than 3DS so there's still some moving on to do.Definitely seems like Japan is moving on from PSP.
Nice bump for Vita. Toukiden Did really well and did nearly twice as much on Vita compared to the PSP version.
It will need games if it they want to prevent it from go back to 10K-13K. What's the release schedule for the Vita.
The big thing I see is the number of PSP software releases, but no significant hardware bump. Its time is over it seems.
Do you honestly think that anyone who is interested in god eater 2 doesn't know that it's coming to PSP? Vita seems like the right choice anyway when you consider that's where God eater 2 burst/God eater 3 will be.Sure, but will NAMCO stay idle and do nothing about the PSP version? The economy / market as a whole might have something to do with that as well. Not that the Wii U's position isn't awful.
It's extremely hard to see Vita passing 6-7 million by the end. It's actually hard to see it going that high either to be honest. Vita seems to have found a nice in Japan, but the software lineup is still sparse with no real big games coming out and no real big exclusives to call its own. On the other hand, at least it actually seems to have some 3rd party support unlike Wii U which even though it has much bigger games will have nothing to keep sales up when those games don't come out every week.
Well unless the system is completely dead and Pikmin does nothing along with what comes out in July+Aug+September, it shouldn't cross streams with Vita. It would be hilarious if it did though.

It's too early to tell. After the same amount of time on the market, the PSP had just over 3.5M sales, and now it's on the verge of breaking the 20M sales mark. The Vita could still make a turnaround. Maybe not to the heights of the PSP, but higher than 6M LTD for sure.
The system just needs more compelling software.
Nice Vita bump.
Wii U sales climbed?
It's an interesting question how God Eater split will be with this in mind. The Vita version looks like a decent upgrade there too, and surely control scheme must be a factor too here.Durante said:It's better?
Sony advertised Toukiden Vita. As of now, GE2 will probably sell more on PSP, we don't know if they will favor the PSV version during the marketing campaign.
Ragnarok was once a big game too.
Garaph's numbers.
Considering how huge GE turned out to be, Toukiden's first week looks pretty damn good.Of course legs won't be anywhere as close but it's pretty safe to assume it's already a mild success.
God Eater 2 will be a great indicator as to where the whole genre will be heading with vita as it's home.I am extremely more optimistic than I was before today's numbers, but this doesn't say much since I was almost sure GE:2 would have been sent out to die.

I don't think that's the case for the WiiU as software is a huge part of the problem, with barely any releases and near non-existent 3rd party support.
That one game coming early 2014 should be a huge game.It needs huge games. Sony clearly has little interest in providing on that front. 3rd parties seem to have found their niche, but I'm skeptical we will see any mega exclusives given the paltry userbase.
Best case scenario for Vita owners is continued multi platform support from companies like TecmoKoei and NamcoBandai.

The PS3's early support wasn't so hot either. From what I'm aware of, only Dynasty Warriors Gundam had broken 100K at the same point.
