Funny you say this, but I fucking hope that NCL aren't daft enough to ignore WiiU games for their next platform. Having them available for both handheld(s) and console must happen, in some form or another.
That could make some sense.
Yeah, but for nearly every other product demand falls through the floor when a new model is introduced...
Here they dipped a bit before going back up...
Haha, this may be the most likely reason
Ok, that doesn't tell me anything. And it says "2" on the box, not "2.5", so what is 2.5? A revisions? A "G" version?
haven't seen anything pointig at this, so far. Just MH4G and N3DS (both models) seem to be supply constrained.
Maybe is was a week too focused on MH.
Famitsu still has it as 80%+ sell through so it could be supply issues.
Wait. A new YW2, Smash n3DSXL bundle, Pokemon and final fantasy still to come out by year's end?
3ds is wrecking shit.
Out of curiosity, what caused the 3DS to be so high last year?
The N3DS results are great, but I'm just surprised that last year was pretty close.
A new Holy Trinity approaches!
The original Youkai Watch game came out last year has sold 970k this year and should reach 1 mil. Pokemon OR/AS and Youkai Watch 2 Shinuchi will also reach a mil.Damn. That Monster Hunter. Wow.
So we've got three million sellers in Japan this year? Yo-Kai Watch 2, Smash Bros., and Monster Hunter 4G.
I think that's highly unlikely given the launch schedule of the New 3DS.
I do think there will be a new handheld from Nintendo in 2016 however.

Does anyone have prior Monster Hunter debut numbers to compare these to?
Anyone?How does MH 4G compare to MH4, MHP3rd etc?
Must be waiting for nXbox One.
Pokemon was released just a month after MH4. The system was on high momentum during this period. It didn't carry over quite as well into the holidays though.Out of curiosity, what caused the 3DS to be so high last year?

Fat DS: 47,462
launch week:
Fat DS: 49,118
DS Lite: 68,438
I think it's an appropriate comparison: The fat DS sales increased when the system was being replaced by a more expensive model that was supply constrained on its launch.

Someone needs to tell Nintendo we are already halfway through October... Those are quite a few heavy hitters they have yet to drop.
Pokemon and MH4 aftermath, iirc.

The 3DS sales breakdown is downright bizarre. The old 3DS managed to sell the same amount it did the previous week, while the New 3DS sales exploded at the same time. >20k isn't an insignificant number either, so... why would anyone not buy a New 3DS considering the pricing? Very odd.
PS4 got a Fifa boost?
Great number for the n-3DS and not at all surprising.
I think wondering what Sony can do with the Vita is a moot point. What they needed was MH and they lost that awhile ago. It still has a ton of great software releases in it's future because it's still #2 in Japan and can move 400k boxes if the game is right.
PS4 tho. *worried face*
Yup. It'd be like Sony (or MS) having FIFA, GTA, AssCreed and CoD as exclusives in the west. Everyone else might as well pack up and go home.Sony should at least have managed to make games like MH and YW multiplats, by not doing that they pretty much gave up. 3DS having those franchises as exclusives in addition to all their own franchises like Pokemon is just too much,

I don't think that Smash Bros 3DS will reach 3 millions that easily, especially in 2014. could continue selling for months, even outside the charts, but I can't see it beating that milestone within year's end.
YW could reach that, if it's able to keep selling after the announcement of the "2.5" edition. MH4 too should sell like hotcakes from now on to double its debut within the end of the year.
What about Pokemon ORAS?
I frequent all the Japanese blogs and sites daily and haven't noticed anything. My guess is that there were retailer discounts on the old 3DS's, from retailers trying to clear out old stock.
Looks like Vita only has another year left as well.
Expected higher for 3ds to be honest.
Sales of LL indicate that a home/portable hybrid would do very well even at a large size.
Anyone?
I think what he means is three 1-million seller games. All mentioned breached the million mark already

Thanks. Seems it did about as good as 4 then. Kinda thought it would surpass it.MC:

KH 2.5HD on the other hand seemed to have a pretty big price drop some places.
Those numbers for Kingdom Hearts are bad, right?
Fat DS was also sold out though.
It's possibleOh really... Then, I have no idea. Unless they just didn't make it onto the blogs?
