Well, no one expected it to sell(well ship) that much, considering the small Vita base, while DQ7 selling what it did was a given. Really just comparing apples to oranges.
Comparing one big third party title to another one. Not soooo wrong

Comparing one big third party title to another one. Not soooo wrong. But let us end here.
Even if they have sold 90% of the shipment, 100k are still in the market, and with 100k is not so hard to see the games on shelves.
That has to do with expectations. For example. Demon Gaze for Vita has sold over 50k, that is concidered as a good number eventhough that it is a far cry from what Dragon Quest 7 remake will sell.We had a whole thread how "good" the AC Liberation numbers have been. And DQ7 has outdone them in under one week. Well, maybe the thread only gave a wrong impression^^. Sorry.
if they really sold 1mln in 2 days, they should have made a second shipment, cause yesterday i was in Akihabara and the game was available
if they sold 90% it means it's not sold out
if they shipped 1mln and they claim to have sold 1mln in the first 2 days, it's sold out.
It's Nintendo, you can expect it to pop out with a release date in March out of nowhere.
I mean the month without release would have seen abysmal level for Wii U.
Are this week's numbers out yet? Because Wii U wasn't that low yet in the OP.yeah, but so absymal to be under 10k wasn't expected just a couple of weeks ago. Failure level: Vita (or worst?)

on saturday and monday it was available in all stores i visited (including Yodobashi Akiba), it means they probably made another shipment (monday was holiday in Japan, even if Akihabara was not as crowded as it is during weekends)
Dragon Quest VII has been sold out of stores the last two days around my house.
Was not sold out on the weekend.
Makes me think the million shipped lasted more than a few days, but it's now sold out in many places.
DQ7 - 827,922
DQ7 - 836,654
3DS - 141,581

I'll post it here and then in the new thread: apart the obvious other topics about this week, what do you think about this?
MHTriG 3DS: 218,097 for MC and 208.963 for Famitsu.
I think that the total LTD for the normal version (not the Best) is around 1.480K
Can someone confirm or deny?
Maybe the delay of MH4 to summer is part of this result? Don't you think that the global sales of MHTriG are very solid and confirm that the userbase is doing a really good transition from PSP to 3DS? I think that probably MH4 will not be able to top the HUGE results (both in terms of debut and LTD sales) of MHP3, but I think that it really has the potential to do great numbers, reassuring Capcom about their decision.
That Wii U really is fighting to stay above 10k

In fact total LTD for the normal version was already @ 1.564.401 on week 45 of 2012

So... Wii U stabilizing around that number
What will this game be for Wii U in Japan?Rhodri Broadbent said:"Video games are something to be cherished and celebrated, and there's no one better at doing that than Nintendo. It's that simple - it only takes one game to turn a platform around. People will buy a platform for one game, and when they've got the system they'll buy more games. It's just about finding that one game."
Nice DQVII sales

Okay, so the drop-off per week gets smaller. Gotcha.16654 -> 13746 -> 12959 -> 12185
No
Drop is getting less and less, though, with only one game released in those 4 weeks.
It will eventually hit 2M+, I would say Capcom have already shipped that much. Thanks! what do you think about its performance? Now that the Best version is on the market and is getting those sales, I think that it's definetly performing very well.

Now I can see the Best Price version doing close to 350k or even more. Plus whatever they are selling on the eShop.
Everything dropped. Its basically statistical noise the last 2 weeks.Nice DQVII sales

I mean look at this thread's OP:2M + digital is a pretty nice feat for the fourth 3rd gen edition MH in Japan.
