So is WiiU on it's way to recovering or is this just going to be a holiday blip?
You could argue you can't have one without the other, but it's hard to say until we get next months figures.

3DS seems really low compared to last year. 500k game and it's not even close to last year. Saturation?

I think that is exactly why it sold so well. The game/IP is very well known, perhaps one of the biggest IPs in Japan right now. I wonder how the 3DS version will affect the phone/tablet version. How? Puzzle and Dragon is making a killing despite being a great hit in mobile phones and tablets.
Dishonored sold 350k LTD in Japan? Error right.

Well I'm sure part of the reason for todays ND spring video is to help keep momentum going into the new year
Another repeat- Wii U is still in serious trouble, but this shows there is still some interest left from the core Nintendo constituencies.

I don't understand Japan. I thought I did but I don't.01./00. [3DS] PazuDora Z: Puzzle & Dragons Z <RPG> (GungHo Online Entertainment) {2013.12.12} (¥4.400) - 543.630 / NEW
It looks like Puzzles and Dragons also has a place on 3DS. Is it the normal retail price? If so, I think they will be happy with the incomes
14./00. [PS3] Dishonored: Game of the Year Edition <RPG> (Bethesda Softworks) {2013.12.12} (¥3.990) - 17.628 / 350.022
Holiday blip, but it doesn't get even that in other markets.
Don't be daft. The smartphone version's great, unless they totally fucked up somehow I'm sure the 3DS game is too.Puzzles and Dragons 543k, there is no god.
Luigi's Mansion is almost at a million!

What is causing the Wii u bump? Is it just the holiday? Nintendo always gets a bump but usually there's software.

Other markets are spending money on other stuff.
More expensive stuff.
Today's Direct will be important in that regard - will they set out something that shows they have some direction for the next 6 months and not just forget about the console after Christmas, as they did at the beginning of this year? If they can show that commitment, there may be a chance of some small recovery and an opportunity to carve out a profitable niche; if not, the system is going to crater fatally next year.
Holiday blip but if it can get some more Japanese support because of that blip it may stand a chance at recovery
I stand by my post in the other thread.
It's cool to see CoD up that high; is it normally a decent seller in Japan? I never thought it charted anywhere near ~40,000 units in an opening week.
Hopefully Super Mario 3D World got legs!!! Great sales all around for Nintendo familyDAMN! Go Wii U!
Nintendo saved.

It's just proof that DQ had nothing to do with the WiiU bump. I hope people realise it now.Sheesh, all those new owners and Dragon Quest already dropped off?
MSRP is lower than that of a regular 3DS title, apparently. It looks like Puzzles and Dragons also has a place on 3DS. Is it the normal retail price? If so, I think they will be happy with the incomes
Different business model, and (slightly) different game. It's FTP on mobile, but with cool-down stamina mechanics where you need to pay money or wait to be able to continue playing (a bit like Marvel Puzzle Quest). P&DZ avoids that, as far as I can tell. How? Puzzle and Dragon is making a killing despite being a great hit in mobile phones and tablets.
Found it boring as fuck. Played for some days. The IAP bullshit and stamina system is... ugh.
