Seems low for DQM2.

... but I still haven't finished DQVII, and with VII out, my DQ fix is okay until... DQXI or an VIII remake on Vita (not holding my breath :))

Shame to see sliding. Yokai Watch interesting. Tried the demo and thought it was boring, but it's for kids.

Always amazing how strong PS3 is, but I guess with the Wii U having (sadly) bombed, it is literally THE console until the PS4 launches.

Wii U is lolworthy and the 3DS continues its downward spiral in the YoY.

I don't understand why people say DQM2 is low. This is how the first remake debtued

That's a 70k decrease despite the expanded audience of the 3DS. While certainly not low, a better result was expected.

Joker 2 sold less than Joker 1 despite the increased audience, it doesn't always work that way, I'm sure you know. I'd say Terry's Wonderland coming early actually caused it to overperform relative to expectations (it was heavily supply constrained initially) while this is more in-line of what is to be normally expected of a remake.

I'm not sure the 2DS would do well in Japan, as portability is a huge factor and the 2DS is arguably less portable than the 3DS/XL due to its design.

A pricedrop on the original model or yet another new "lite" version with the standard DS form factor would do much better.

Probably, this year's Feb releases are not as strong iirc.

I think Vita will be the only platform this year to show growth though. Everything else will be down YoY and the PS4 will suck the air out of the room for Wii U just as it has done in the west.

2DS won't do much to increase the baseline in Japan. The market is not as price sensitive as in the west and the 2DS is not as portable. It is a device designed for western audiences. Take a look at the current sales split, the XL takes the majority of sales every week and it is significantly more expensive than the vanilla one. A lower price won't add much to sales in Japan IMO, it will just work to lower Nintendo's already squeezed margins.

Another boring week, everything doing as expected, 3DS still doing average despite new release, should have been a bit more.
Only Youkai Watch with its interesting legs but that's because of the anime.

5 vita titles in the top 20. I can't remember the last time I saw that. It held on quite well too.

Just noticed the YOY drop for the 3DS, that is quite big.

Will be interesting if the PS4 release has any positive influence on the Vita (Remote play). Or if Vita numbers will break in because people spent their money for the PS4.

They should have released it befor ethe holiday season if possible - not at the end. But it is outperforming the Minish Cap ......right ?

Wasn't SHC a PS3/Vita game? Kinda funny that PS3 one didn't even chart. That said, even though I'm a big Symphogear fan and the game delivers on that front, don't think I'd grab it. Looks really cheap and just like the previous game from this team it's like they made it with little to no effort...

EDIT: Oh wait, I'm blind, PS3 ver. is there. Never mind what I said, lol.
