Metal Gear Solid Delta exists because Konami was starting to get worried the “younger generation of gamers aren’t familiar with Metal Gear anymore”

Bullshit konami saw money when capcom started making bank. EA did the same shit with deadspace and quickly gave up when it didnt sell 10 billion copies.

I'm a huge fan of both Metal Gear and Kojima and, honestly, I'm quite okay with the prospect of a non-Kojima Metal Gear game. I think it's silly to assume that only the original creator of a franchise can do it justice. Maybe it's because I grew up reading comics, but, for me, the changing of hands from one creative team to another is a natural part of being a fan of a long running franchise.

It’s the best scenario anyhow because that way he can move onto other stuff.

I think the people suggesting a MG 1 & 2 remake are forgetting how similar those games are to each other, and to Solid. It was basically an Evil Dead 1 to Evil Dead 2, and then Evil Dead 2 again, situation. They would need to make some significant changes to the plot and events to differentiate the 3.

They are closer to each other than MGS2 is to MGS1, even though MGS2 was, in universe, designed to be a recreation of the events of MGS1.

I replayed it a couple months ago.

It's like Tetris levels of being a perfect game. It clearly communicates its systems that are woven into and layered on top of the gameplay making a consistent whole/feedback loop.

And the gameplay itself gives you expert control and freedom. If you think of something you might be able to do with the tools given you, you can execute it and it reacts just how you'd expect.

Man the first time I snuck up to an enemy tank and attached the Fulton thinking "there's no way this will work"

But it did lol. What a game.

I wonder how many people are gonna check it out for the first time and say stuff about it being woke and political, lmao.

I still don't know why they chose to jump in at 3

A modern remake of MGS1 with all the trimmings is what we all wanted.

MGS V was nearly 10 years ago. There are kids vaping today that weren't alive when it came out.
This is going to blow some peoples minds.

How much percentage wise of the current population of the earth was alive when metal gear solid came out?

From the ChatGPT:

Metal Gear Solid was released on September 3, 1998, for the original PlayStation.

Estimating Earth’s Population in 1998 and 2025:

• 1998 Population: ~5.9 billion

• 2025 Population: ~8.1 billion (current estimate)

Percentage Calculation:

To estimate how many people alive today were also alive in 1998, we need to account for age demographics:

• People born in 1998 or earlier would be 27 years or older today.

• According to global demographic estimates, about 43% of the current global population is 27 or older.

Conclusion:

Approximately 43% of the current Earth’s population was alive when Metal Gear Solid was released.
