I really hope the PC version at least is decent. At the very least, modders will certainly make it the port that Konami should have, though it's a shame that games of this pedigree are going to probably require user modification to give them the care they deserve.

30fps for MGS 2 & 3 on Switch would be terrible. 30fps for MGS2 would be the worst performance that game has ever seen, even the janky original Xbox port ran at 60fps.

This is pretty much what they've done with their Castlevania collections. I don't even think the first one has an in-game exit function on Steam.

In a statement issued to IGN, Konami said Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 has a 1080p/60fps “target” on all platforms except for Nintendo Switch. This means the collection targets 1080p/60fps on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. Specifically on Switch, the collection runs at 720p/30fps in handheld mode, and targets 1080p/30fps docked. No platform runs the collection at 4K resolution.

It's not that hard to tell that on your press marketing event before every press member present trash your game.

I love MGS, just beat MGS2 on PS2 recently, but £50 for this collection is a bit ridiculous. £35 max would have been a fairer price. This is a Konami cash grab of the highest order.
