No, Xbox copied the Dreamcast controller, also seems no one remembers that the Xbox controller has haptic feedback on their triggers before Sony did, ( can't blame anyone almost no games makes use of them) something Sony copied and improved greatly upon.

Analog sticks should not be that close to each other. It's an inferior design. Off axis all the way.

Xbox created the first vibration feedback system for triggers. They're also the first to come up with pro controllers (PlayStations pro controller feels cheap when held right after holding a Xbox elite controlller). They have the superior stick layout. PlayStation triggers feel mushy while Xbox's feel smoother. Bumpers are clickier on Xbox too. There is a reason why most pc gamers use Xbox controllers.

That's weird logic but if you like your thumbs touching each other in certain movements then by all means enjoy the inferior design.
