At around $600 it gets into the income tax reporting neighborhood in the US and Microsoft probably doesn't want to have to do the reporting and send out the forms.

Wait......are there no more weekly, monthly quests any more? No more 1000, 500, 100 point stuff?
Trying to figure this stuff out. This multiplier only seems to apply to days five, six and seven every week. So on day 5, I'll get 40 points. Next week, it will be 80 points. So if we follow that then this week, including day six and seven, we get 100 points. Next week it will be 200. Then 300....400. That's 1000 points if I'm correct. Add on to that 150 points a week for either PC or Console. Or both I guess. So for me that's just 150. Then we get 50 points for the monthly 4-pack. And 350 points for monthly 8 packs.
So here is how it breaks down for me:
1000 points for the weekly streaks
150 points for playing PC game pass
50 points for the monthly 4-pack
350 point for the monthly 8-pack
That 1550 points. Daily console/PC play used to be 20 points, now it is 10. That's 600 points cut to 300.
Grand total. Used to be we would get around 2200 points for all the monthly "quests". Now we get 1850.
Am I wrong?

Achievement points were already brought down from 50 to 5 a while ago, not really a big loss.
Right, but sounds like if you maintain it, you keep getting 400 every week, so while it's a bit low on the first month, as long as you keep the streak going, every month onward you'll be earning 400 x 4 weeks, instead of having to reset to 100, 200, 300. So that's basically 1600 points just from this.
So, slower to start but a more consistent streak of points afterward.

Also, finished the console weekly streak today, and despite the app saying it's for 150 points, I still got the 250 points in the tally.

Yeah, but I followed some achievement hunting YouTubers for that stuff. One guy, CarbonCarl.....liked his stuff. Very friendly. Just sucks they will probably lose most of their following. Hopefully they can figure something else out.
Hmm, so if that is correct then the monthly points would go up from 2200 to 2450. So that's obviously better than I was thinking. I wonder if you could achieve that playing games on xcloud.

The streaks? Should definitely be. I did all 8 of the 'monthly' games in the first two days purely off of xcloud lol.
Xcloud usage contributes towards the 'console' game since they're basically seen as the Series S SKU's of the game.

The daily puzzle thing in the Bing app (you know the 1000 point thing?) daily check in and search 3 times? I can’t see it in the Bing app anymore and don’t know how to get it back.
If it resets because I can’t get to it, then it’s going to take another 12 weeks to get back to 1000 as it carries over.
It’s in the Bing app itself it’s not the Rewards dashboard. Hope I’m making sense.

edit: I said in my last post "bing" app, but I actually use the MSN app (formerly the Start app).
It's showing there for me. Try using that one, I recall stopping using the Bing app cause it got really slow and bloated for me.

I dont care about the 1000 and not crying like a little bitch about it but you dedicate your time to this (the puzzle takes a few weeks to complete) and they fuck it off and bring it back one day later but it will have reset to zero and about 5 weeks worth down the drain. That's what pisses me off, not the 1000 points.

Question for you. Do you play Xbox games via cloud on your android? If so, what do you use? I was under the impression that could be done from the Xbox app, but is that only from browsers?

I've actually never used xcloud on phone personally, just start it on the web on a laptop.
Xbox.com/play gets you there on any browser.

Is there an Android device you have handy nearby you can try? Reset times are usually 3AM EST (midnight PST) so you have 6~ more hours.

The last update to the Bing app on iOS removed rewards for me. But I still have it in the MSN (formerly Start) app. That's where I got my mobile points today.

You can also emulate an Android device on a PC with BlueStacks download the apps in it and try. Android apps might also work natively in windows 11, I know that was added a while back but I’ve never tried it.

Cloud gaming doesn't give credit for playing PC games. It will give you points for playing a Game Pass game, but not the weekly streak. Have to play on PC.

Right, xcloud is basically a Series S fork of the game, it won't count as PC coverage. It will, however, count as console coverage in a pinch, if one can't access or doesn't have the console.

You can do this new 8 games quest via cloud but the daily streak one has never worked for me that way unless you count streaming from my own Xbox.

Cloud works for the 4/8 pack but that's it so it is practically useless on PC. Doesn't count as a console.

Yeah, mine is fucked up on that too. I claim it it tells me the points are added (they aren’t) then it tells me after I have unclaimed points (these ones) and that if I don’t claim them, it’s going to reset today.FYI, the new streaks they've added, you have to manually claim the points.

Well, Rewards is back - sort of.
As predicted, my 1000 point jigsaw puzzle has reset back to zero despite previously having 6 pieces completed - so that's fucking annoying - it's not the points, its the time spent for nothing now.
Read to earn for 30 points currently isn't working either.

Looks like Rewards works better with Android over iOS.
