What the Cardinals and Rays did last year and what the Phillies did in 2007 is still more impressive, but this is still crazy considering the A's had to sweep this series to get this done and they are.

And I know I'm in the minority here (and maybe it's been discussed to the point of annoyance), but this new two wild card system is a mess in MLB's current format. I cannot stand this change. Today could have been such an amazing final day of baseball. If MLB can some day get to a 4-division format (like the NFL), THEN I think I'd be more than fine with two wild cards. I just don't understand it, but I'm so mad about this right now. Other than the obvious $$$ reasons, this change has and never will make any sense to me.
