It will play surprisingly good on my 5 years old phone+kishi too.

Shock .. my 3060Ti PC cannot even handle this game on lowest 1080p
Beta ran "well" on my pc? 3060ti, 9700k, 32 gb ram. What's your other specs?

Evolved1

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
In other pressing news: it won't play on your phone or Gameboy. You've been warned.

I’d be shocked if they don’t have a port ready for Switch 2 this year.
Good look trying to run this game on a base ps4 hardware once Series S barely run.

BUT, tbf, If they turn down everything and lower resolution to 500p it may run and its not hardware fault, its Capcom engine that is trash.

The question is how will it go on Switch 2 if it is already a disaster on Series S.

Man I remember when this was first shown and it didn't look that impressive, I was sure it was because they had made it with the Switch 2 in mind. And I was glad because that would mean it would run nicely on Ps5/SX.

Fast forward to now and the game turned out to run like shit on all consoles and handhelds lol.

I guess if they make a Switch 2 version it's going to be some custom build with deeper alterations.

Well PlayStation portal is just streaming from your PlayStation five so I don’t see why that would be surprising that it runs?

The game barely ran on my ROG Ally X in the beta so I can’t imagine it does well on steam deck or regular ally. It’s definitely a high-end game that needs a high-end device.

It's also the best selling PS accessory or whatever

People quietly love the Portal and Sony seems fine with it, that's why they don't really ever advertise the PS Remote Play app exists
People had years to enjoy Remote Play app but now that Portal is picking up steam you see people trying to promote the App & phone attachments lol

What did anyone expect?
No kidding, I finally pulled the trigger on getting the PS5 mostly due to how Monster Hunter World runs on the Deck. It is inconsistent in performance and looks absolutely horrid. Based on that and DD2, I realized that Wilds be unplayable on the Deck. I will be playing on the PS5 and Deck via remote play.

3060Ti, 32gb DDR4, i7 14700k, Textures are non-existant and yeah runs really bad
Define really bad?

This person has a 3060TI and is getting pretty good performance across the board with a CPU a good deal weaker than yours. At 1080 and high settings and DLSS set to Quality, the lowest I saw it go was 45ish in the infamous open plains area. Even at 1440p, low settings was scraping 50FPS in the most demanding part of the benchmark with a final average of 72FPS.

I'm curious if there's not something more to the story here that's preventing you from getting good performance.

Wait really? World runs great on the SD. 60FPS is easily achievable.

MHW drops frames a lot and while the frame counter reads 40-50 fps, it feels worse than games like HZD running at 30 fps. The framerate also lurches and stutters in specific areas and when using explosive rounds (LBG mines/HBG sticky ammo). Rise on the Deck is a treat though, flawless 60 fps with all settings turned up. You can even drop the TDP to 10W and Rise still plays well. I hope we get a similar mid-scoped new MH game from the Rise team which runs well on the Deck.

Deck can also stream from PS5 using Chiaki4Deck. I use mine with my Pro.

Not surprising Deck has trouble with this game. It is 3yrs old at this point and a handheld. My 5800x3D+4060Ti has trouble with this game ffs. Gonna need Deck 2 with FSR4 and FG to handle late gen poorly optimized games like this.

I fucked around with Remote Play back when I had a PS3 and a Vita, shit was kinda wild back then

The Vita worked with PS4 Remote Play too, so I actually got through a significant portion of ACIV Black Flag that way back in the day

Happy to see the Portal doing well though, it makes more sense for Sony than trying to support 2 platforms at once. This is why Nintendo went with the hybrid approach for Switch too, because they also wanted to stop having to support 2 platforms at once

Hm. I wonder if this is a steamOS-ism. I'm admittedly running W11 on my steamdeck and run MHW in DX12 mode and it feels great. I've also overclocked my SD though, which may be a contributing factor. I'm confident by that time the MH Portable team's game comes out, SD2 will hopefully be in our hands and all will be right with the world.

There is definitely an issue on your end. It could be a driver problem, latest windows version causing trouble, intel cpu degrading issue etc. With DLSS set to balanced or quality, at 1080p-1440p, it should run pretty well on medium to high settings(45-60 fps). I don't remember the exact settings I tested, but the experience was much better than I expected. Fps drops in the camp area though.
