Mysterious massive drones scattered all over in New Jersey and Pennsylvania over the past week or so. No local officials or FBI knows what's going on.

So the FAA banned some things, and the sightings all but stopped.. and the FAA lifted the bans, and the sightings returned:

I think basic logic suggests... this isn't aliens or a foreign power.

If you guys are dead set on believing in conspiracy theories..

Consider how much the military industrial complex wants you to believe in mysterious dangers in our skies, or extra-terrestrials. Consider that congress people from states with heavy aerospace spending have often sponsored bills to research UFO's and the like (like Harry Reid from Nevada, where just about every aerospace company has some operations, as well as their own home grown companies.)

Now imagine why the military industrial complex might want the public believing they are in danger, or that we can find aliens if only we... spent more and more money on research and development.

The press secretary's statement remains hard to believe, even without involving aliens or a foreign power.

I don't have that much trouble believing it. They may have had no plans for sightings to be some massive story and all it takes is one person in charge saying "no we can't admit it's something authorized directly" for the story to go the way it did. Or they could have been testing the response of the military bases, so.. obviously they aren't going to admit to it. That was the theory form the start, that this could be some sort of test where youi don't tell the target that a test is happening.

They could be lying of course, I just don't find it that hard to believe.

That was always the most likely outcome. It was some branch of the government conducting some type of tests or or test driving new technology. For what purpose? Who knows. That and once it became a big story and everyone started looking for them, people confusing normal drones or small planes with drones to make it seem even bigger than it was. Aliens was fun to joke about, nothing more, and it being foreign drones was highly unlikely.

They held a conference about the drones where nothing happened and they dismissed everyone. I'm back on that theory that they lost nuclear material.
