still, shitty style tho.
Well apparently even the artist himself seems to think it's not his finest work.
Now what?
Damn, I would actually have an interest on playing the game if she looked like this. In that leftmost drawing she looks the perfect blend of feminine yet strong, stoic looking. This was Aloy's concept art, right before the mind virus spread.

Sees criticism and rather than blaming gamers, he uses it to be better.

The devs just believe in America there is a modern audience. Here in Japan, we have the good old audience.Let's leave female designs to the Asians because clearly the Americans have been having a hard time designing women in video games![]()

Maybe it’s just Sony wanting to buy the studio?Visiting their HQ was just 2 weeks ago. Then artwork of Eve from ND happened. Can't be a coincidence.
Give it 2 more weeks Eve will go bald.

wtf am i reading on here lately lolI'm starting to think this guy is trying to get hired by Shift Up.
Maybe he is tired of working at Naughty Dog, with all the problems with political control.
And he just wants to be in a studio where he can draw cool looking characters.
This was Aloy's concept art, right before the mind virus spread.

Nah. The face on the first artwork is intentionally butched up and doesn't look anything like the actual character that's supposed to be represented. It's fine to do a personal artistic interpretation of something, or someone, but that does not mean it can't be criticized for being inferior or just plain ugly compared to the original.Hmmmm...
Gonna keep it perfectly honest with you chaps.
If we think of a trooned out freak with a 5:00 shadow and a a sundress as a flower, we must recognize that a good portion of them begin their journey to becoming that flower from the seed of weird weebo with an anime heroine fixation.
For any of those little seeds who may be germinating in here, I just want you to try to conceptualize that you are maybe 80-90% responsible for the proliferation of "woke" in the hobby. When people talk about stereotypes of gamers as "basement dwelling weirdos", they are specifically referring to anyone who looked at the OG pic in this thread and thought anything other than "who is this woman and what game is she in?"
If you saw that picture, and thoughts formed in your mind that the shading in her face somehow took away from her youthful appearance, and the way to rectify that was to complain and let the artist know... well, I just don't want you to think that you should be sitting at the cool kids table where we make fun of trannies, liberals, women, and all other vulnerable groups.
all women have peach fuzz, but that can be also taken care of with different skincare procedures if its not to liking or distracting. Its nothing abnormal or trans like i guess what some people here want it to be

Well, I started to believe you are probably right..I'm starting to think this guy is trying to get hired by Shift Up.
Maybe he is tired of working at Naughty Dog, with all the problems with political control.
And he just wants to be in a studio where he can draw cool looking characters.
So you have never seen Aloy from Horizon Burning Shores?Facial hair in women is not uncommon (especially if you have a metabolic disorder such as PCOS) - but most women will use various methods to remove it.
But I must say this is the first time I've ever seen a game which features facial hair in a (?)woman - maybe they've designated the character to be trans. Looks exactly like the trans kid from TLOU anyway.
Well, I started to believe you are probably right..
I just wanted to quote myself so this gif shows up more.
You guys are taking some artists hobby way too seriously. He just finished refining his previous sketch just like he did the first time:
Yet nobody is going round saying "see the first one was wrong you clowns" . You're just seeing somebody enjoying and sharing their work. There doesn't need to be ulterior motives behind it.
Because his first ones are his rough sketch style and he is just spending more time refining shading later. It would be like looking at this picture of Sam Porter by renown Yoji Shinkawa and questioning why hes got black stuff on his face and cheekHis second pics are much better than the first ones. Which follows what people have said as the first ones have too much black stuff everywhere. So his revised pics are cleaned up.
