I visited Connichi in Kassel last weekend. Maybe the biggest and most popular anime-, manga convention in Germany. I took the chance to use my new camera and made dozens of pictures of cosplayers, mostly videogame related.

Especially as a fan of The Legend Of Zelda the event was amazing. But I also like The Big Bang Theory a lot, so that I'm very happy about the picture at the bottom^^.

I just have a general question to ask you guys and it doesn't really fit into the costume making thread.

How would it be looked upon if I bought my full costume and went with that to my local con every year, or at least the upcoming few? There's only one convention here in Estonia where I would have the chance to cosplay and after going this year without a costume I'd definitely like to try doing cosplay next time. Actually five of my friends are enthusiastic about going in costume next time.

Thinking of doing Quattro Bajeena by the way. There's costumes and glasses on sale so it shouldn't be too hard to pull off.

::Shrugs:: go for it. I doubt anyone will give you shit for wearing the same costume multiple times. I'll wear older costumes for cons on less busy days and save my new stuff for high traffic or photoshoot days.

Do what lets you have fun man. If you really get into it, YOU'LL be the one who gets tired of wearing the same thing over and over.

Thanks dude. I really enjoyed it myself. I too am a big Skies of Arcadia and Valkyria Chronicles fan. Just kinda wanted to rep some more of gaming and something different.

Honestly it's not a big deal. Only die hards care. I didn't make 100% of my costume. I bought some stuff online. Just make it your own. As long you have fun doing it and get into the character while trying to be a least a little faithful to the look then everybody else will respect that. I mean look at all the Dead Pools and Harley Quins out there. Just play the part and everyone will think your the best.

I think Adam Savage said it best: "DragonCon is so impressive, not because the costumes are dramatically better than any other con, they're really not. Both his Crusader shotty and Eagle pistol were made by Pillar of Dawn Studios. He's made quite a few awesome Mass Effect weapons. Once I finally start my own ME costume, he's one of the potential weapon makers I will approach for a comission
