Do you have any resolutions?

  • Yes. I will be making changes.

  • No. I don't have anything I need to change.

  • Yes, but I'm not confident about achieving them.

  • No. I feel like I'm not able to really change myself.

NO PAIN TRANCE CONTINUE
Wim Hof? I thought about giving that a go. If you do, keep me posted on your thoughts.

Yeah going to finally look at his stuff. And found this yesterday (and if i do I'll keep you posted friend)

Currently in limbo regarding being able to be accepted for Trauma therapy that uses breathwork for relaxation. So I'll wait how that turns out.

Wim gives yearly (?) Seminars and an acquaintance of mine want to go for seconds in the coming month. Same dude swims in the sea almost every weekend lol.

For me, I've gone from 3 to 5 min cold showers lately. Yay.

That's a big goal. No doubt requires great effort to achieve, but no greater goals to achieve than our dreams. Keep at it, just don't over exert yourself. Want to make sure you able to get there. ;^)
I'm worried about the mortgage cost. Interest rates have flown through the roof due to the terrible economy. The timing of building the house wasn't ideal - however work was ongoing prior to the global economic meltdown so there we go.

I earn a good salary in the UK (based on my 7 days a week) however at least 50% will go to the mortgage alone. Painful

Digital Art / Drawing
Discovered I loved digital art and drawing last year. I love putting on some music and just doodling away. I've mainly been drawing my favourite characters from my favourite games. It's a hobby that keeps my anxiety at bay; I can just sorta switch off from everything whilst I'm doing it. I really, really want to improve at it this year. I think I need to be more consistent. There were big gaps when I didn't draw anything for 2-3 months.

Health
Type 2 diabetic and it's been out of control since late 2021. Before that, I was on zero medication and my blood sugar levels were in the normal range for someone who isn't diabetic. I was low carb and OMAD and I never felt better. Things started to go awry when I lost my full-time job in October 2021. Also, I'm exhausted almost every day. This started when I was ill in Feb, the day that Elden Ring came out. Was coughing up blood, had a fever, couldn't even stomach watching TV, and I didn't eat ANYTHING for six days. Probably covid, though I never tested for it. Hoping to improve or get rid of my anxiety, too. I don't really leave the house unless I have an urgent appointment.

Job
Got thrown into unemployment in 2021. Had been there for just over six years, had lots of friends there, dad worked there, and it was only a twenty minute walk from my house - I felt pretty down when it happened. Had a couple of temp jobs since then. Recently had a couple of interviews and practical assessments which I failed because they both had soldering involved. I can't solder because my right hand is ridiculously shaky and because I've never done it before. I've been applying for a lot of 'entry-level' work, things like kitchen assistant and assembly work. Finding it really hard at the moment, especially with 500+ people applying for a single role. Had an agency that messed me about too. Having to survive on Universal Credit. Going to the local job centre is absolutely rancid in every single way. One of their 'job coaches' said to me "Do you know how much better off you'd be in work?" and then explained to me how much I'd get for working 40 hours a week at minimum wage. Condescending bastard. Hopefully I'll find something soon, don't really care what type of work at the moment.

I really need to lose weight. Starting to cut sugary drinks for now, eating smaller portions. Been dragging myself to exercise, really need to start.

I gave up refined sugar and simple carbohydrates last year (astronomically difficult) and leaned out quite nicely without losing to much size and kept my strength up in the gym, so I'll continue that. What I really want to do is learn sign language so that's my main goal this year.

Minimizing sugar intake is a step I took last year it worked out very well. Sugar free everything. My ma bakes cookies and cakes like a madman though, haha! Now I'm all about staying away from buying whole bottles of Vodka and/or Rum and it's working out okay. A shot at the bar doesn't hurt me as much as keeping a fifth by my bed.

I hope you all accomplish goals this year!

Yeah nowadays it's wierd to eat something sweet. I never buy it for myself. And mostly politely decline when offered. But sunday I had like an news years day type of thing with some coffee and it was glorious. Good going on the booze man. Respect + 1

This year I'm going to

1. Drink more booze and smoke more weed. I've been slacking off for a while now. It's time to up my game.

2. Eat junk food. I never eat that shit. It's disgusting, but this year I'm gonna put some effort in.

3 Watch more TV. I'm lucky if I have the time to watch any TV. I need to change that.

4. Stop exercising. I'm sick of all that running and hill walking shit. If you exercise you live longer they say. So what? Live longer to do what. Eat broccoli for 35 years? Fuck that. I'll trade the salad munching for a good time and a massive heart attack thank you.

5. Stand up to my wife abuser and demand she start treating me like a human being with needs and feelings, instead of her personal sex toy. The degradation must end!

6. Start a pegging survivors support group.
Your a good, good, man. I admire your determination to be the one to fuck yourself up.

As for groups, have you thought about a local "danger wank" club?

I'm, just trying to help. 👍
