From a preseason top 5 pick to cut. Never understood the evaluation on him.
He was garbage in camp and preseason. Zero ability to run the ball, tons of missed assignments. No reason to keep him, Barber and Sims are better.
One step closer to the tank. They can't outright cut or trade McCoy or Taylor so getting rid of everyone else is the next best thing
They didnt claim anyone.

Kinda surprised the Raiders already gave up on Shilique Calhoun (3rd round pick 2016) never liked the pick to begin with tho. Big Reggie has been kinda iffy with his 2nd and 3rd rounders.

He was concussed so bad after a game last season he needed to start wearing glasses. That might have something to do with it.
I thought he was going to retire but was talked out of it and is now on the fence? Either way he's not going to be playing for the first month

Even though he's changed his mind, if he reconsiders, if he were to retire it would be a big blow to our rebuilding defense

That's fine, I just need to know how many are returning and get control from dutch, even if we skip the Thursday game I can retroactively apply the scores from that game if we draft after Thursday.
