NFL Week 12 |OT| What Are You Thankful For?

If you think about it, the new look SEC East would probably kick Missouri to the West and put UNC and UVA in their division. That gives you UGA, UF, Vanderbilt, UNC, UVA, UT, SCar, and Kentucky. Not the best academic division, but UF and Vanderbilt are both pretty good academic schools.
No school that accepts High School sophomores solely on PSAT scores is a good academic school in my book.

Some1 from UF who knows what's up should comment on this. It is not an easy school to get into, I'm sure you're just thinking of some strange program they got into.

It was me. I got a 1490 on my PSAT as a Sophomore, and I got letters from every SEC school outside of Vanderbilt saying I was automatically in at the school. Florida's specifically said, "UF admits the most National Honors Scholarship Students - come join us today."

Got a few free t-shirts and car stickers out of it. All of which I burned. By burned I mean donated to Goodwill.

Per Tomlin, as of right now, Beachum is playing (Adams out) and Batch will be at QB. Batch will be broken in half by the 2nd quarter. This season is a train wreck, only being held afloat right now because the rest of the AFC is also a train wreck.

QBR is a great stat.

In Sunday's game Weeden had a QBR of 13ish, that was off of 17 for 26 passing, 1 TD, 1 INT

Charlie Batch went 20 for 34 passing, 0 TDs and 3 INTs and yet got a QBR of 20ish in a loss.

Makes sense.

I sure hope so buddy!
Them or the Texans have the best shot before they inevitably lose to the Giants in the SB.

I hope Philbin gives RJ Stanford more PT over Nolan Carrol this week. Not that either is good - but at least Stanford seems to play with some level of confidence and turns his head around for the ball. The big catch he gave up last week to Tate, which could be argued OPI, Stanford ran stride for stride, turned to play the ball. Had that been Carroll he would have never turned around and just kept running into Tate for the certain PI.

But I guess vs the 4 wide sets, both of them will have to be out there along with Jimmy Wilson. Not a good look.

Hopefully Wake can go nuts like he did vs Arizona to get some constant pressure and hits on Brady. I think the only way Miami can possibly win this game is if the defense + special teams either scores twice or sets Miami up in scoring position twice (at least 10 points) AND Miami has 0 turnovers.

Merry Christmas!

But seriously, how's the D-line? Most importantly, how's the interior line? Wake might tear it up, but besides him? Tackles have been playing really well the last couple of games.
Randy Starks and Paul Soliai have been playing great at DT basically all year, save for a few games where they looked kind of tired (Bills and Titans, for example). I've seen them blow up quite a few runs in the backfield and Starks has 4.5 sacks so if they play well they should make it tough for the Pats to get anything going on the ground. Odrick is probably the weakest part of the d-line but he's been playing well enough, and Wake has been Wake.

It doesn't matter though, as long as Brady has enough time to throw, which he probably will, the Pats won't need to run. The Dolphins secondary can know you're passing, it really doesn't matter, they will still probably get torched all game long (see: vs. Luck). I think the Dolphins LBs will have a lot of trouble in coverage as well, so I'd expect any TEs the Pats throw out there to have a great game.

Agreed on all fronts. Carroll is a huge liability, he's basically a 70 yard PI call waiting to happen whenever he's covering a WR on a streak (assuming Brady can still throw that far, of course).

You excited about our teams clashing, gator? I'm not sure what to expect but I'm looking forward to it. I'm trying not to think about it too much though, can't look past the Pats this week first.

Any news on how Hoyer is doing?

Guess he's just an emergency guy for now. I'm sure being in for a full week will help him though. Same for Plax, getting a full week in should benefit him a bunch. Ben and Lefty did do some light throwing, but I highly doubt either of them end up starting. My guess is that by the end of the week it will be Batch starting, Hoyer moving up to back him up and then Lefty as the emergency guy only.
