Christian Ehrhoff will not be in the Buffalo lineup tonight when they face the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Place for the first time this season. Ehrhoff was on the ice for the start of todays morning skate, but left about 10 minutes later. Head coach Lindy Ruff said Ehrhoff is battling a muscular thing that just popped up, even though he played the entire game on Sunday against Florida.
In Ehrhoffs absence, defenseman Adam Pardy was recalled from Rochester yesterday, and he will be paired with Tyler Myers tonight. The 28-year-old Pardy had three points and a plus-five rating with Rochester (AHL), and was playing more than 20 minutes per game for the Amerks. Pardy was acquired from Dallas on July 2 in the deal that also brought Steve Ott to Buffalo in exchange for Derek Roy.
Typical Rangers PP to start things off. 1 shot, 1 clear Devils breakaway stopped by Lundqvist, 1 Devils 2-on-2 scoring chance, 1 Devils near-breakaway.
Nice work, guys.
What happened? I can't watch
