Damn, thanks for the setlist! I didn't recognize the ones in bold. I saw them last night and they were fucking awesome. The lights during Hand That Feeds and Head Like a Hole looked like 2001's stargate sequence. Really strange that TDS got so much credit but no Closer or Hurt.

i was actually pretty happy to not hear closer a few weeks (months?) back when we saw them in perth. hurt was still there, but closer was really growing a bit stale so it was kinda nice not to hear it. the big come down is where it's at anyway :p

I got presale tickets from NIN.com for the Manchester (UK) show, can't wait, its been a couple of years since i saw them last.

This is the first time I have purchased presale tickets, whats the deal with them? I know you can get in early with them via a seperate entrance but how much earlier? Is there another advantage to this apart from being to get your space at the front? I mean, I saw sound check songs being listed earlier in this thread - do the presale holders get to see these 3-4 songs being played?

I never want to hear either of these songs ever again. I feel like I've heard them live 50 times.

I'm also hoping Saul Williams doesn't show up to the one I go to.

What's wrong with Saul Williams?

For those who got tickets from the nin site: Did you ever get the follow up e-mail telling you where the special entrance for your show was going to be?

I'm going to tomorrow's show and I never got anything after the ticket confirmation when they went on sale. Hopefully the special will call/entrance is easy to find.

No, but there will probably be a table near the entrance that says, "NIN.com tickets only" or something like that. That's where you need to go to pick up your ticket.

Saw them tonight in Denver and they fucking brought it. Street Sweeper were super high energy and Jane's Addiction were incredible as well. Feels a little weird seeing NIN in the middle of the two acts though.

I'm sure this is old news to most but:

A Letter from Trent:

This is for something important. Eric De La Cruz is dying and needs a heart transplant. He keeps getting turned down for a transplant list because he's on Nevada Medicaid, and there are no transplant centers in Nevada. We want to get involved and hopefully so do you, so we're extending a hand. His sister Veronica (former Anchor and Internet Correspondent for CNN) has started a campaign to save his life.

Eric's situation shines a bright light on a broken health care system, and his particular set of problems are being addressed on the political front, aiming for reform in addition to the need for immediate financial help to keep him alive TODAY. I think we can help with the latter.

Here's what we're offering - three options:

If you have a ticket to a NIN/JA show: if you donate $1,000 to this cause, we'll invite you to come hang out with us before the NIN/JA show of your choice. You and a guest can watch NIN and Street Sweeper Social Club's soundchecks, eat dinner backstage with us, take pics / get autographs and watch the show from the side of the stage if you'd like.

If you donate $300, you and a friend can join us for NIN and SSSC's soundchecks and a handshaking / hug session before doors open at the NIN/JA show of your choice.

If you do NOT have a ticket to a NIN/JA show: if you donate $1,200 to this cause, we'll invite you to come hang out with us before the NIN/ JA show of your choice and provide 2 tickets (best available)
. You and a guest can watch soundcheck, eat dinner backstage with us, take pics / get autographs and watch the show from the side of the stage if you'd like.

100% of the money collected from this will go directly to Eric's fund.

I hope you'll consider helping out with this.

Sincerely, Trent Reznor

America only? ;_;

No. Worldwide:

What to expect from your VIP package:

Please keep in mind that we are playing this by ear and things will vary night to night due to the overwhelming response to this and the varying conditions at the venues. Be assured we are doing our very best to make sure your experience is the best we can provide, and thanks for your understanding.
With that said, here's what to generally expect.

For all participants ($300, $1,000 and $1,200)
Be sure to arrive at the venue early enough to see the soundchecks. A complete list of soundcheck times is located RIGHT BELOW THIS POST. Sometimes soundchecks are shortened / cancelled due to issues beyond our control, We will have a meet and greet regardless.
NIN will soundcheck first for 15-30 min, then there will be a short break while SSSC sets up and soundchecks. You with then be escorted elsewhere for an informal meet and greet with NIN and members of SSSC. You are welcome to get autographs, take pics, hugs, etc.

At this point, the $300 people will be escorted back to the venue after the nin.com pre-sale people are allowed in but before the general public. If you are a $300 donator AND a nin.com pre-sale person, yes, you can go early.

The $1,000 and $1,200 donators will then be escorted backstage where they can attend dinner with the various crew and bands, see the general workings of the show from a production standpoint if desired and generally get the feel of what this kind of tour is like from behind the scenes (plus a high chance of a shirtless Dave Navarro sighting!)
Depending on the venue, you may be able to watch SSSC from the side of the stage. When NIN performs, we'll offer you a choice of what we feel would be the best / most unique vantage points to watch from. We'll provide beverages and you may be able to move to the front of house (mixing) position depending on the circumstances. You're welcome to hang backstage after NIN's show as well if you'd like, or we can find you a spot to enjoy Jane's Addiction.
I've spoken with all camps on this tour and everyone is open and happy to help out and participate, so we really feel this will be a cool and unique experience for you.

Miscellaneous:
These offers apply to the Chicago show (obviously minus the Jane's Addiction part.
These offers apply to the HEADLINING (read: NON-FESTIVAL) shows in the rest of the world. The exact specifics will obviously vary but the overall vibe will be similar.
We are offering a LIMITED amount of $1,000. ONLY donations for Bonnaroo - you must already have tickets (or buy them separate). The specifics will be different, as we have no soundchecks, etc but we will include a VIP pass and access to hang out in whatever situation we find ourselves in there. NOTE: DO NOT PM ME HERE EXPECTING IMMEDIATE OR ANY RESULTS. There are a handful of assholes spamming my inbox with the same insane ramblings I posted a while ago. It makes it impossible for me to weed through these. Sorry.

And with no Jane's Addiction I'd say the odds of getting an extended set are pretty good. Should be an amazing show.

Me and about 30 of my closest friends are going to the NIN/JA show at PNC in Jersey this evening. I'm freaking out at the moment because I'm hosting a pre-show BBQ at my house that is looking like it will have at least 50 people attending. I hope I have enough food and toilet paper for everyone. :lol

Was at the Burgettstown show last night. sogood.gif Seriously, really really awesome show. I'm glad I got to experience NIN for real before the hiatus or whatever (Last time I saw NIN I was practically last row, what a snooze fest). Jane's Addiction was also awesome. Played basically every song I wanted to hear and then some, so I can't complain. Dave Navarro is godly.

NIN setlist:

1. "Home"
2. "Somewhat Damaged"
3. "Terrible Lie"
4. "Discipline"
5. "March Of The Pigs"
6. "The Frail"
7. "Metal"
8. "I'm Afraid Of Americans"
9. "The Becoming"
10. "Burn"
11. "Gave Up"
12. "The Fragile"
13. "I Do Not Want This"
14. "The Downward Spiral"
15. "Wish"
16. "Survivalism"
17. "Echoplex"
18. "The Hand That Feeds"
19. "Head Like A Hole"
20. "Hurt"

Is he allowing people to film these shows as well? I downloaded a video from the Portland show (multi-angle and HD) and it was great. Seeing Jane's Addiction given the same treatment would be nice.

There were cameras out the wazoo at the show last night. One guy on a NIN board said he had an HD vid cam recording the entire show, right behind the pit so I look forward to seeing that.

They allowed video cameras at the Toronto show

NIN has gone independent haven't they? Maybe thats why

Not that it matters why, the videos on youtube are very very good for the most part :)

And I will echo that the Toronto show was out of this world

I checked out some torrents on NIN's site and other sites. There is some really good work being done to put multiple cameras/angles together to create a great presentation of a concert. The only thing is it takes awhile for people to put that stuff together, so the stuff from this show probably won't be put together until October or so.

I was at the Charlotte show too, didn't seem like that many people left when Jane's came on. I saw a lot of people leave at intermission but it seemed like most people came back (to the seats.) Couldn't tell what it was like on the lawn.

If you're a Jane's fan (I am) they still put on a good show. It did seem a little short compared to what NiN can do, but Jane's doesn't have a ton of material to draw from.

Definitely enjoyed the show :)

Street Sweeper Social Club was pretty awesome I hadnt heard any of ther stuff before.

i was glad that NIN still had the longest set of the night

I thought Jane's sounded awesome live. It was great to finally see the original lineup. Navarro can fucking shred and Perry still sounded great.

Yea

I only knew/recognized a few Janes songs, but the other songs were fucking good

Now I've listened to Ritual and Nothings Shockng and damn, I can see why they were considered pioneers of alt rock

Setlist for the Charlotte show was pretty lame. Really glad La Mer and Home were played, but most of it felt like the same shit I've heard live dozens of times before or just wasn't good at all (fucking Non-Entity and Head Down).

saw the last nine inch nails show in the usa at bonnaroo. it fuckin rocked.

Oh wow. Looks like they played almost every song in the setlist rotation.
