Total bust for me locally. 24hr Walmart was sold out when I got up, Target across the street gave out tickets for their *5* units hours before.

I'm in good humor, they obviously wanted it worse than I did haha.

The Famicom Mini controllers don't feel bad at all. I have to run the wire between my index and middle finger, but otherwise they're surprisingly usable considering how small they are.

Yay!

Funnily enough, a PS4 USB port can provide enough power to turn it on :)

You can't.

I guess it depends on which Gamestop you go to and how well they go out of their way for you. I called my local GS the other day and they told me they were getting 12.

I wonder if this will be like the Amiibos. Where for months they were impossible to get a hold of, but then eventually you were able to find them (at least most) a lot more easily.

Waiting in line at Target right now. 8 of us. Only 8 systems and they gave us tickets.. Feeling pretty awesome. Can't wait to play this with my 7 year old daughter :)

I bet it'll be heavily in stock after Christmas. Not because they're making more but because demand dies after that classic nostalgic Christmas morning moment passes.

I mean, I don't even want one if I can't get it for Christmas. ...So I'm going off that.

It seems that Amazon UK are the only ones who had pre-orders, at least from what I can gather. Which is pretty fucking weird.

All of Europe had pre-orders.

Pre-ordered mine on Amazon Germany as soon as pre-orders went up.
It arrived today at 10 am (so ~4 hours ago).

The Americas were the only ones without pre-orders for some reason.

Best Buy and GameStop don't even open until 10? Shit I'm assuming I might have luck if I go unless everyone is skipping work or school for this shit
The worst part is I'm not even sure if I want this but resale value could be insane. I need to go to Best Buy anyway and see if my eyes can notice the couple hundred dollar difference in quality between Samsung 7 and 8 series TVs so they'll probably get me to buy this shit if I'm in there and they have it

For those of who you preordered from TRU...

Actual cancellation, or delayed shipping notification?

For me it was the latter, which sucks, but not a cancellation.

Tried out a bunch of games so far. Very happy with it. Definitely the best way to enjoy the widest range of NES classic in the best possible way legally right now on modern setups. It's so tiny and cute too! <3 <3 <3

I'd be ok with that. I'm in no rush to get one. If I have to even wait after the 1st of the year, I'm fine with that.

Pros: Everything involving actually using it. :D

Cons: Good luck getting this setup on any proper TV setup unless you have your own longass HDMI cable and power adapters. :p

I would never have expected this thing to be so popular to have people line up for it on day 1.

It's the only way those of us in the United States can get it. Hell, Amazon isn't even opening up orders on their site until 2PM PST. It's weird how this is being rolled out here.

GTFO. The best way is with a Modded NES + Framemeister or Analogue NT. BUt those are both quite expensive.

Now...let's talk extension cables in the UK. I see some 1.8 meter ones on eBay from China. Ideally I want more length and quicker delivery. Anybody found anything? Amazon.co.uk has NOTHING.

Haha, plugged the USB power cable into my PC and its enough power to power it up :)

Also, can anyone recommend an adaptor so I can use the controller on my PC?

I was about 5 minutes too late at my local Target to get a ticket.

Will Gamestop have any on hand not reserved for pre orders?

Went last night at midnight to pick it up. Girlfriend and I got to Walmart around 11:15 and there were 6 people ahead of us. They told us they had 18 units and no controllers. By about 11:45 there were 16 people. Around then the cashier said that people were able to buy up to 3 at once. Needless to say the line got kind of rowdy and immediately asked her to make sure as that seemed ludicrous. At almost midnight a manager showed up and they spoke with her and said you could get a max of 2 (which I think is still ridiculous, considering at this point there were over 20 people in line).

Thankfully they found another 2 boxes so they had 30 units total now. Needless to say the six people in front of me all bought 2 units. I felt bad for the people all the way in the back and hope they were able to get it last night. I got mine and hooked it up last night and played some Mario 2. So glad I don't have to worry about finding this as it was my early Christmas gift to my girlfriend.

How is it going for European Gaffers who ordered one?

I just found out that all three of my orders will be shipped, which I honestly did not expect since I waited a week or 2 after the reveal before placing my pre-orders.

I ended up ordering one through Amazon.co.uk to be delivered to my German home, and two additional units through Dutch retailer Bol.com to be delivered at my parent's place in The Netherlands (one being stored away as a Christmas gift for my mom, the other being a backup unit in case Amazon did not pull through but which will now be taken off of my hands by a family member).

Am I incredibly lucky here, going by our pre-orderless, struggling North-American brethren or have others in Europe also not run into much trouble getting their pre-ordered systems so far? Quite unfair, to make you guys over there wait in line for these things.
