Ok my UK model has arrived, glitchy sound in kirby, mega man 2 and castlevania, those are the only ones I've tried so far. It skips a note at the end of every other bar or so. What the hell.
My BB order online still says Preparing. It's not due to arrive until later in the week (by Friday for sure). Is it just waiting for UPS to open back up tomorrow before shipping....?
It's happened to me before. I always end up getting the item in the end and in time.Amazon: it's out for delivery
Me: it says it hasn't been shipped
Amazon: it's in the dispatch process
what the literal fuck
It's limited in that the batches are limited, but based on what Nintendo has said, there will be plenty more coming. So is this a limited run or something?
Damn, people getting too crazy for this thing. Lining up 50 strong at the stores lol. Most of them are probably scalpers too. Now I'm scared for the Switch. Hopefully I can get a preorder. Gonna go ask the local Gamestops later.

It might have something to do from the Amazon buliding that it was shipped from.

Is this the link I need to be at come 3pm?
I don't get why Nintendo always handles these things in worst, most obscuvated way. Even less popular stores they had people lined up to buy up the stock.
Fuck the Switch.
Controllers are basically nowhere in the UK. Wish I'd ordered one when I had a chance...
Additionally, nostalgia gripped me and I went out and grabbed a few Nintendo books from the local bookstore. Super Mario Adventures comic collection and the hardcover Playing With Power which looks gorgeous in the cartridge style slipcase.
There's not much Playing With Power coverage out there so I'm pretty excited to flip through it. If anyone on the fence over it has any questions, I'll gladly try and answer.
All I need is a controller since my BB order shipped.
Does this link look like the correct one from Amazon?
Do they have a link for the controller?

Yes it is. The purposely didn't allow preorders and it feels like trickling out stock. It wasn't acceptable for amiibo and it isn't acceptable now. That ain't Nintendo's fault.
WHAT THE HECK!? Those ebay sellers!!!????? Hope in humanity all gone now! D: Screw videogames and screw Nintendo for bringing very few units on purpose! Better find a new hobbie. I will become a chess enthusiast or something, geeez...
Bs. They didn't allow pre-orders because they knew it would be extremely scarce. Nintendo themselves should have loads of them available from their very own website. They clearly wanted to ramp up demand as always. It isn't rocket science. From the other thread:
Nintendo presents it to retailers six to eight months ago, who write minimal orders. Nintendo uses that to forecast demand and then places the manufacturing orders many months ago as factory time in Fall is incredibly scarce. They unveil the system and the hype greatly exceeds their forecasts. They try to book more manufacturing time, but find limited capacity left from their suppliers. They likely have small orders in, but will likely not see a large increase in supply until early 2017.
People claiming that the scarcity was planned have no understanding of modern supply chain management.
That said, the lack of second controllers is really weird and makes me wonder if they had a production defect/issue that limited yields.
All I need is a controller since my BB order shipped.

So scalpers are Nintendo's fault? How is Nintendo supposed to prevent people from reselling their products?
