Much to my surprise, Target actually shipped the unit I preordered months ago. Was so certain it would get cancelled at some point.

Kudos to those of you who got through on Amazon. It seemed like it was in stock for maybe ten seconds, tops.

It happens ALL the time. Worked for my VR and previous PS4. Drop a gift card in the amount and they ring you up so it's out of the system. Works all the time.

Seriously. I have two employee friends at GameStop and at most they were only able to take my # to let me know if they even got any more of them. They even said "we can't hold one for you, but I can call you to tell you when we get more but you better act fast." I was straight up lucky that Gamestop took my order on the mobile website today. I feel so bad for people who are straight up struggling to get their order in at all. It's gonna be a long wait
Hopefully they do. First thing is you could've waited in line instead of being a jerk. I work at Best Buy and if I wanted one I had to wait in line too.

Was never able to get it into my cart. That's two misses today (never got through checkout with gamestop earlier).

I'd expect a ton in stores again starting with Black Friday and they're just holding back now.
There will be more shipments but I imagine it will be crazy this holiday season.
Is that any different than when they pre-ring items at gamestop before 12AM and then just hand the item over at 12AM so there isnt a huge line?

It showed in stock several times for me (Shipped and sold by Amazon, no prime though). Never went in to my cart when I clicked and one click on my phone didn't work either. Even scarier it keeps showing back up on my phone with prime.

Yes. That's allowed by the store. That is simply to move the line along more quickly. It's not the same thing.
