This report comes via the Nintendo Switch 2 subreddit from a Xiahongshu forums user who obtained a CAD model of the Nintendo Switch 2 last year. This same user also provided the internet an early look at the design of Nintendo’s upcoming console before it was formally revealed by the company themselves last month.

fwiw the reddit thread says it was marketed towards accessories developers

apparently it gives a head start on the development of accessories for the console which can give you a huge advantage since you're first on Amazon selling it
