At first I thought it was that, but apparently they're not coming out in the same window at all. They might have started as one project, but I don't think it's that bad when there is significant time between them.

I'll probably be getting a 3DS in 2012, but Revelations is certainly the title that stands out to me in the line up, not that I know much about it at all.

Is anyone expecting it to be any cheaper than the Wii at this point? It's launching for the same price in Japan(25,000 yen), and the most optimistic expectations for the US price are $250.

The Wii is using overclocked 1999 technology. The 3DS is using portable(price of minimization ), more capable 2006 technology. While both are more expensive than they should be, it's really no surprise the 3DS is more expensive than the Wii.

Comparing it to a cheap $199 360 would be a better argument.

Nintendo, Level 5 and Capcom have my money. :D

I've never been this excited for a handheld launch. 2011 is going to be one to remember.

Hasn't Inazuma Eleven 4 been confirmed as a 3DS title as well a few days ago?

Nintendo intentionally added region locking to DSi software code, so it's likely that they'll continue that with the 3DS (especially since it will be backwards compatible with all DSi/DSiWare games). QuiteWhittle is right though, absolutely nothing has been confirmed yet, but all signs point to yes. I'd be very surprised to see Nintendo drop region locking so soon, especially since it hasn't really had any significant side effects at all.

Maybe it could be a good idea to list the other franchises that are coming from other studios. Especially western ones (lol) since they haven't had an event to show them.

Stuff like Warner with Batman, Konami and Contra and Frogger, THQ and Saint's Row, Ubisoft and Assasin's Creed. Stuff like that. Some probably won't hit 2011, but with no confirmation, it could be a good idea to mention them.

I'm only planning to list once we actually see something from the game like a screenshot or artwork. If I put everything up there, there would be a lot of blank spaces.

Also, sorry Firestorm, when I originally put it together I didn't have a separate post for Canada since prices are likely to be different, so I added it in and forgot to change NA to the US.

Even I could live with that but not if I have to buy a next-gen home console next to it. 3DS better be the grandchild of both the Super NES and PS2 at this price.

Anyone know what's up with the colours? I pre-ordered the 3DS like 3-4 days ago I think it was, anyway he didn't ask for colour or anything like that.

I thought there was going to be black and that turquoise colour? I like both so it's no biggie but I just wanted to see if anyone here can clarify that.

They should go with the best launch lineup of all time and have all those games at launch. It's not like they would go away, once I'm done with one I'll buy another. No other system could ever come close to matching a lineup like that.

I can dream.

Yeah, Cosmo Black and Aqua Blue are set for Japan. Dunno if US and EU launch colors will be the same but they probably will be.

So I'm assuming they'll let you choose at launch when I pick my pre-order? Or call to confirm sometime between now and launch which colour I want.

Seems like a confusing way of doing things, but I guess they have no choice as they probably didn't have that much info at the time I ordered.

Is it sad that the sole reason I want a 3DS is just to replay Ocarina of Time? I'm hoping they did some decent graphical upgrades. I don't know why I need to get it since I plan on playing it through an emulator with a cel-shaded graphics mod but I guess I really want to see the 3D effect...

It's already been shown that they did some graphical upgrades! And it's not the only reason I want a 3DS but it's one of my most anticipated games despite beating it a zillion times.

and Bills voice was awesome as well as everyone in that game.

I actually think they might add Krystal somehow , don't know how i feel about that.

Wait I thought preorders weren't starting at GameStop until Dec. 26th? Maybe Nintendo will announce the release date, price, and colors that day? I want the red 3DS please NoA?

I think there's going to be new levels (Nintendo doesn't want to just update the graphics), so new VA might be necessary. If they kept the old voices and only used new voices on new levels, I'd be happy even if there was that inconsistency there.

I would really like the return of the original voice actors instead of just getting new ones. It would feel jarring if they had new actors saying the same lines.

For some reason EB Games Australia is listing the red color for pre-order (along with the blue). I did get the impression though that black and blue only were worldwide colors.

Oh then there is some hope the red one will get released. After all the trailer revealed red and blue models. There were purple and orange ones on the show floor also.
