Xbox One number calculations:
"Comparatively, Xbox One consoles have sold at a rate of 2.29 times faster than Xbox 360 in the U.S. in the same timeframe for the first three months on the market." - Microsoft PR
Xbox 360:
November 2005: 326K
December 2005: 281K
January 2006: 249K
=
Three month total: 856K
Xbox One:
November 2013: 909K
December 2013: 908K
=
Two month total: 1817K
So:
1817K + ???K January 2014 = (856K) * 2.29 times faster
1817K + ???K January 2014 = 1960K
Xbox One January 2014 sales = ~143K
Legendary thread.
Crackin' a fresh beer for this one.
I've a bad feeling it'll be the lowest month for Vita in a long time.
...maybe I need spirits.
It's stupid, but I really like that now all of the big three use the "X Family" spin.
Really interested in Nintendo numbers.
I think the PS4 and X1 numbers are low. I hate to say it but the explosive start for these two are signs of the hardcore initials and that casuals are taking a break.
That doesn't seem that great either, but ps4 is supply constrainedPS4 is nearly double so that could mean PS4 is 280k-290k
Xbox One January 2014 sales = ~143K
Xbox One January 2014 sales = ~143K
So, 143K-145K hardware sales for the Xbox One is subpar, right? Not as bad as Wii U sales last January but not the best for a new console either.
It's important to note that these are US PS4 sales with the demand outstripping supply as well for the most part in the month of January.
Which SKU sold more:
COD: Xbone
NBA: PS4
BF4: PS4
AC4: PS4
Madden: PS4
Fifa: PS4
Lego: Xbone
Tomb Raider: PS4
PS4 owners eatting up EA titles. If only another EA title releasing next month was coming out for PS4...
Curious to see March numbers.
I wonder is Second Son, PS4 availability and higher demand can offset XBO's numbers for the month?
