I really really hope you're right. I don't doubt TGS..but I'm still skeptical of E3 resulting in many big 3rd party announcements.

E3 is more important to developers and publishers than TGS, so i would expect it.

although i guess you never know considering there's a whole new E3 this year.

You can't look at sales numbers and predict the future. All they do is tell you the past and present. A million other factors affect the future.

Doomed to repeat them and all that. The Wii has won this gen. As long as you don't care about sales numbers though, who cares?

I don't know about Wii Play or Zelda levels, but Rayman: Raving Ribbids and Red Steel have both shipped over 1 million a piece for Ubi Soft.

I'd say some other 3rd parties have probably noticed that.

This is the same schtick we've all heard before on this board anyway ... exact same thing was said about the DS. There's no question that a higher userbase will benefit any hardware makers ability to get more 3rd party support, not less.

As long as a system has a large userbase, developers will keep bringing games out for it until something is a hit, it's like flies to a light.

Seriously, who is buying all these Wii's? I don't know a single person who has bought one in 2007, seriously. Also, why are they buying them? Because they saw it on TV and didn't research it at all? The system has no games and won't have any until this Christmas at the earliest. Wii Sports was boring after a couple weeks and Zelda only lasts so long.

I don't think the Wii can sustain these kinds of numbers for too long.

Mind you, 1.Ubisoft has million sellers, 2.Atlus had its best selling game 3.Majesco has record profits on Wii titles 4. No Major Third Party title has been released yet (Manhunt 2) and 5. Third Parties still sell better on Wii than PS3.

I'm still amazed at how well Wii is selling. I expected good sales but it's the DS of the home consoles. Only thing it lacks is the highest LTD....for now

What incentive do Third Party Publishers have on making games for the Wii if thier merchandise dosn't sell to the 7.5 million worldwide userbase?

No third parties on ANY console will ever beat Nintendo this gen. At all. Not SquareEnix. Not Rockstar. Not Konami. Not Capcom. Not Tecmo. Not EA. Not Ubisoft. Not Microsoft. Not Sony. The Ds alone will ensure that, even if all the aforementioned companies decide to completely ignore the Wii.
