The memory configuration would also change to a 384-bit bus (compared to 320-bit on RTX 3080). It looks like it, up until this weekend I was trying to buy a 3080 but failed badly. Now I think it was a blessing in disguise. I am cancelling my 3080 TUF and waiting for tech jesus review on big navi. I will wait, at this point it would be stupid not to do so.

I agree. This isn't a coincidence especially since preliminary leaks (dash of salt although the leaker is fairly reputable) show the new AMD RX 6000 to be on par or even exceeding the speeds of the 3080.

I just don't want to buy something now only for a better option to be available in a few months time. So I'll be waiting for the dust to settle on 3080 and Big Navi, nevermind beyond that.
