Well, I just got my console and portable gaming sale figures back from distribution. I head up a Target store where we make about 72K a day and 110K on the weekends. Black Friday, we make 550K in one day and from Black Friday to Jan 2 we make an average of 200k to 320K a day.
With that said, we got our sales figures from the months of Jan 2, 2007 to August 2, 2007.
XBox 360: 423 units sold
Xbox: 25 units sold
Nintendo Wii: 69 units sold (because we never get any)
Playstation 2: 55 units sold
Playstation 3: 9 units sold (2 sold at price change last month)
PSP: 51 units sold (11 units sold at price change last month)
Nintendo DS: 97 units sold
GameBoy Adv: 12 units sold
Classic Atari: 27 units sold (yes, the old Atari woth 2 pixel games). Its sold as a novelty item.
PC Games: 410 units sold
Xbox Games: 44 units sold
Xbox 360 games: 881 units sold
Playstation 2 games: 689 units sold
PSP games (not including movies): 211 units sold
Playstation 3 games: 44 units sold
Gameboy Advance games: 87 units sold
Nintendo DS games: 573 units sold
Nintendo Wii games: 111 units sold
Well, there you go. PS3, isnt doing too hot...even with the price changes.
