Well, I just got my console and portable gaming sale figures back from distribution. I head up a Target store where we make about 72K a day and 110K on the weekends. Black Friday, we make 550K in one day and from Black Friday to Jan 2 we make an average of 200k to 320K a day.



With that said, we got our sales figures from the months of Jan 2, 2007 to August 2, 2007.

XBox 360: 423 units sold

Xbox: 25 units sold

Nintendo Wii: 69 units sold (because we never get any)

Playstation 2: 55 units sold

Playstation 3: 9 units sold (2 sold at price change last month)

PSP: 51 units sold (11 units sold at price change last month)

Nintendo DS: 97 units sold

GameBoy Adv: 12 units sold

Classic Atari: 27 units sold (yes, the old Atari woth 2 pixel games). Its sold as a novelty item.



PC Games: 410 units sold

Xbox Games: 44 units sold

Xbox 360 games: 881 units sold

Playstation 2 games: 689 units sold

PSP games (not including movies): 211 units sold

Playstation 3 games: 44 units sold

Gameboy Advance games: 87 units sold

Nintendo DS games: 573 units sold

Nintendo Wii games: 111 units sold





Well, there you go. PS3, isnt doing too hot...even with the price changes.

pretty interesting isn't it.... The guy has said that the numbers here even though they are for one store.. They are a good representation of video game sales for all Target stores in his region (a couple states)

Very interesting seeing the Wii number in relation to the 360. I thought Target was preferred by Nintendo the same way Toys R Us gets alot more of the shipment. Apparently not, in his region at the very least.

The PSP didn't get a price change last month, and 423 360 units compared to 55 PS2 units for the year? Is this the Microsoft HQ branch of Target or something?

90 some ds units to 400 some xb360 units. i think its the target located in bill gates' house.

PSP sold more software than Wii according to that, as well...

Also, for the record, our numbers are about identical to our Regional sale figures too. Our region covers from Ohio down to Louisana to Idaho down to New Mexico and everything in the middle.

The Canadian numbers came out. We just saw the software rankings, though. Pachter is also disqualified this month due to his prediction coming after the Canadian numbers were released. He even got to see those numbers before doing his prediction, so he would've had an unfair advantage.
That and he seemed to nearly wholesale copy our aggregate totals. :lol Maybe imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. ;)

Funny. Maybe MS does much better in that area, or Nintendo does much worse.
