im not too worried about the borders, but control lag would definitely sway my decision.
Like I said there was control lag in the kiosk machine that I tried. It was probably only noticible if you looked for it. There was approximately 1/4th of a second lag, but I cannot confirm nor deny the existence of the lag in general since I tried it out at a public PS2 kiosk and therefor it could be the fault of the machine or the controllers themselves. I did however feel it should be mentioned since I've heard of controller lag from quite a few sources (first from GameFaqs, however trusted that source might be).

1/4 of a second is fully 15 frames of lag - in a game like megaman that would destroy it!

There is no lag issue in any of the games.

Not really, I gave the PS2 version a good long while and it wasn't "destroyed" like you said. The lag most definitely was there but it was so very minimal. I first had suspicions but when I tried out the GC version (running next to the PS2 kiosk) it was confirmed. Like I said I probably wouldn't have noticed it until I specifically looked for it but after a while it became annoying. It certainly didn't ruin the game however.

i agree that the collection is great, as well, but there's no reason to be so sympathetic to atomic planet. they fucked up, plain and simple. capcom's hack job on the re-releases might have made some things tough for them (and unfixable in their dev. time frame), but there are serveral features that have no excuse for not having been corrected.

The whole Mega Man Collection just seems like a rudimentary rush job. I am very glad that it came out and I'm happy someone at Capcom saw fit to do this but at the same time I'm angry at Atomic Planet for being so damn LAZY about it without making any effort to actually make a single cohesive package.

I really like the game man. I'm not regretting to have bought it but i'll always stay cold with developers. There's no possible excuses for lack of resonable quality. You speak like if you have feelings for developers or something (and MANY people do). Atomic Planet could have remixed the couple of songs that are missing. The volume of Megaman6 could have been adjusted. Those may not be important flaws for everyone but why not correct them when it's such an easy thing to do...
Megaman Anniversary Collection is an excellent game but it is sure not polished.

I don't have any feelings for Atomic Planet one way or another, I just don't want to see one team blamed when another is at fault.

Who's responsible for those lack of polishing? Who could have remixed the couple of songs that are missing?
